Ohh the TWU structure where you broke ties... well didnt you bring cases back to the board for reconsideration to try and get ties to then get them voted off the arbitration list? And the one where it seemed no one ever took responsibility for scheduling the arbitrations bcuz they never got scheduled? you are the President if the board voted to send , SEND IT!! and schedule it!! As far as supporting ex management, if the membership respects them, and they have proven to be a good union rep, and the membership votes them in, how can i not? He was elected by his peers, and I will respect any ELECTED officer!! Im not the type to hold grudges for people trying to do whats right, whats to say he became management found out how crappy it is in that position so he flipped and helped the union!!! Hows the LCs grievance office on property doing? Bet you hate being bothered all the time in there, unlike the office 5 miles away where you hid all day

VP1 and 2 were in charge of grievances. There was a case out of LAS that should have been heard. We were all inexperienced 5 years ago. There is more to the story then not just sending, ask DV or DS. I was always for that case, again ask DV.

That's what I thought a management person would say.

Didnt you appoint RR to be the station chair under TWU?

I have never been management!!!! You dont know who I am, we met once long ago, maybe wel meet again at the convention, it might be fun to see you again.

No, the executive board did.

what are you gonna take responsibility for? you were the president you mean to tell me you had no influence or input on any decision you just sat there and did nothing? laughable!!!!!!!!!!

I don't think it's laughable at all. What if that was my arbitration? Would I laugh about it if my union rep claimed he was just inexperienced at the time? I thought Prez wasn't a bad guy but over the past few days I've gotten my fill of him. If he is going to say something then he should be open to the clarification points that PJirish and yourself have asked him instead of resorting to name calling. At least CL was smart enough to know to walk away after he was down.

Like I said, it appears only RR can fix this station. I said about a week ago that either RR or MW would be best for the membership there. RR is their own, and they support MW. Should be a win win for all parties so the politics can be put away.

You should probably stop posting. There's nothing that this Inquisition wants to hear besides a grovelling confession; they don't like you, they've had their minds made up about you for some time, and so anything you say they'll call a lie or twist to feed their own angry assumptions about you.

Argumentation for Dummies is as yet unpublished; perhaps the contributors to this thread can mend their differences in a group authorship effort? Of course I will be editor because I thought of it but Jester can write the introduction if he so wishes.

Vile and silly, almost unreadable accusations and errors of reasoning by brave anonymous persons. The flags of Solidarity and Unionism taken down so that you may stab at one another with the poles. Don't forget to dislike this post by clicking on the red minus sign to the bottom right.

Jessss... whoops.... I mean Jockey...

I... for one am willing to let this subject die...nothing else can be learned that has not already been learned! Unfortunately... someone got called out on their inability to provide hard facts to substantiate their allegations. Down here we call it... “Writin’ checks yer butt cain’t cash”!

Fleet Service Membership will base their opinions on the credibility of those in office just as you/we have witnessed in the 2008 elections. The collective intelligence of this membership has already chosen a direction. Their resounding voice now must be taken seriously!

So elucidates...

I love that new pic. Although I must confess that I can't read the small scribble. What does it say?

Actually.... it says nothing... however it reads the equivalent of " De oppresso liber"... although not exactly in that terminology!

11. Members may have ONLY ONE screen name or persona. Posting under more than one screen name or creating a new account to skirt a suspension or other action can result in a permanent ban of ALL accounts, and ip addresses associated with that poster.

Far be it from me to break the rules of the board. If you are concerned about it, talk to the mods.

That's the spirit.

CJ,

I would be honored, so long as you edit and proof read my rants. Once again, you have demonstrated yourself to be a fair and insightful "Bard of the Board" in balancing the opposing views, while succinctly reminding the participants the truly important matters. Bravo, Sir!

Allow me to add a few insights of my own on the topic at hand... I can understand why someone might be hesitant to vote for arbitration so easily while being constrained by a King's ransom as to the costs and the Treasure chest devoid of bullion. Which brings up the next issue... the membership balks at the current dues, but I do not think it is the costs, but the perceived lack of value, because the costs of the dues really is not all that expensive, especially in terms of benefits between union vs. non-union wages for fleet service agents. I do not know the exact number of FSA's at US, but I want to say 5,000 persons maybe? If it cost $10,000 to go to arbitration, then count me in for an extra $2/month with the promise to bring a new case every month, and let's push back on some of the management nonsense which becomes harassment to FSAs. That would show some real value to the union actually doing something on a monthly basis, instead of empty threats against Management.

So Campaigns Jester.

Janitor i will say that Phx does have a few ND backers and where not talked to nicely from their own brothers and sisters.

To recap, PJ had a right to get Prez to clarify his statement. Prez finally clarified and said he heard it third hand, no transcript, no facts, no nothing. His thirdhand obviously includes MW, KA and others skewing things. He also mentions NH and says NH was instrumental on here, while at the same time he refused to allow NH to see the membership while PR was walking around with those from the MemF team.

The thing that I'd like for you to clarify Tally yo is that you apparently have hit a nerve with Prez over a particular arbitration case. I have two questions for you. One, are you putting me on or did Prez only bring back one case to arbitrate? And you seemed to suggest that there was another case but I believe i missed your point. Prez quipped something about MM? What's going on?

As far as PHX, RR is the only one out in PHX that needs to be involved for the next two years IMO. Us members don't need a LC coming on here pointing upward and hammering the district, and we don't need another LC coming on here hammering his membership and the entire State of Arizona. Politics 101. RR has showed that he's the man out there from what I heard. Other west stations have shown that they can work with the District, regardless of how they vote, and those are the ones that I'd feel comfortable having my reps work with on the negotiations committee.

As far as the health care arbitration, thanks Tally yo, you seem to be in the know. I enjoyed my extra check and even though Prez is hammering it, bringing it to arbitration was the right thing to do and we still won.
end of lesson

It's unfortunate. But when CL and PR are parading around United Airline AGC KA, as opposed to NH, it makes no sense at all unless they are out for political gain. Never mind that KA is not well liked by her own and did NOT even get her home local nomination. This is someone who CL and PR is telling their members to vote for??? Makes no sense other than doing this for political gain. Based on what I heard, she couldn't even cover her own stations like MIA, RDU, CLT and got hammered in her home station where even US AIRWAYS members swamped her by hundreds of votes.

CL and PR said they wouldn't support a AGC they didn't know. Fair enough. But then they must have known about KA. Why would they ask you to support a candidate who is despised by her own? If RR was despised by PHX, would it look right for me or any other PHL guy to parade him around in PHL for votes? And if NH was instrumental in getting the time clocks moved, why parade a United airline worker around instead of one of our own? Makes NO SENSE other than someone got their panties in a wad and got his feelings hurt.

Now isn't the time for a local committee to alienate their entire station for a rogue ticket where most of its own candidates couldnn't even get their home nominations. Anyone who does is just showing himself/herself as someone who simply is a discontent and not someone who is functionably able to work with. A Local doesn't trump a District.

Jester... this has to be a JOKE! You of all people are actually making sense by concurring with us to a degree? I give up... reverse psychology... elaborate plan to misdirect?

So sits astounded...
