ALPA/USAPA topic of the week

West could wind up with the China flying, since A330 deliveries in 2008 are not designated to be flown by East pilots under any current agreements.
Your absolutely right. However, let me point out the aircraft and flying will end up where it makes the most sense. I.e. Corporate Profits. So right now who really knows where the flying will go.

767jetz is a pilot for united airlines who's pilots scabbed in Australia with america west pilots. He will not defend my accusations, because it is true. He is now pontificating for alpa on this web board. The double standard is typical of alpa.

You are a US Airways pilot that was a former PSA pilot that got date of hire when psa was bought by Usair in 1987. You have spent your time posting on this board worrying about your own hinder. You are the poster boy of what is wrong with alpa with a I've got mine attitude.

You only worry is a west coast base because you live out west.

A LAX base would be nice.

Since the US seniority list can never be reordered, not even under USAPA, my heinie is doing just fine.

And as I've said before, you got date of hire too, which is what all the fuss is about this time around.

Your point is?

No where has ANY US Airways East pilot said that anyone on the West side should lose their seat.
No. You just want your pilots to upgrade before every West F/O forever, and your most junior pilots (the ones furloughed with 18 years of service) to be in a position to survive the next downturn, putting employed West pilots on the street and your East pilots in their seats.

You know as well as everyone that this goes far beyond "no bump/no flush."

But feel free to continue calling those of us who see through your USAPA scam for what it really is, all the same names like "ALPA shill" etc. if it helps you sleep at night.

Where did I get date of hire sir and my point is you have a I've got mine attitude.

If you can justify united airline pilots going over to Australia and flying passengers during a work stoppage, I suppose you can justify alpa.

Unless you are former Shuttle pilot that is upset you didn't get your original EAL DOH or are upset at the way Nicolau did the USAirways/Shuttle integration, you got DOH when US-PSA-PI merged.

I guess my idea of unionism (formed in the coal fields of WV) is totally different of that of most today.

I did not get date of hire in the america west situation, you did and more. Usair did not merge with psa, they purchased psa. One of your psa pilots became the mec chairman of Usair, voted himself into the Usair pilots pension plan, then promptly left.

You are greedy, you have yours and the hell with everyone else.

So according to you, should there be furloughs in the future, the fellow hired in 1988 and who spent ten years on the street, should go yet again, while the fellow hired last leap year should not be effected.

And should there be growth, why the veteran needs to just shut up when the four year captain says it ain't so bad.

Now thats what you call a scam.

I must add that I have flown with a lot of the former PSA pilots, they are supportive. John Crocker was part of the RC 4, he was a pain in the hinder for management, but supported his fellow pilots.

That SAN-PHL commute must be getting old for N924PS. He just can't wait to bid PHX, and his F/Os should just accept their sad fate and be quiet. N924PS is also closing in on 60, and coincidentally was one of the biggest proponents of Age 65. It's all about him, all the time.

We won't be on furlough again. We will do what we need to survive

Well at least two east pilots are being honest about their wishes. Both you and Autofixer believe that in the next downturn the previously furloughed east pilots should be on line and the previously working and never furloughed west pilots should be on the street.

I know your convoluted logic about time served but please explain how this arrangement, an employed pilot trading places with a furloughed pilot, is not a windfall for the east pilot group.

It has NOTHING to do with who was or wasn't furloughed. It has to do with who has invested the MOST TIME in making the airline a success. There is no reason a pilot with 14 years service should be furloughed before one with three or four, NO MATTER WHO WAS FURLOUGHED WHEN. They're all back now. That's ALL THAT MATTERS.
