Or a barometer of emotions and stupidity...

3100 stupid pilots, led by emotion and stupidity. It must be a burden to be the bearer of such extreme intelligence and wisdom.

You have not experienced any stupidity of the group you are dealing with (alpa has our weak and cowardly ones on payroll). You have not experienced the full emotion you will observe in the near future. But, you know better.

You have been working with the lowest paid pilots in airline history for the last 20 years. Thats exactly why you were hired by America West. You had the least competitive education, record and qualifications in the pilot market at that time. You had a director of ops, chief pilot and flight crew manager that flew drugs from Asia, after that your airline ceo tried to get them hired back.

Your pilots scabbed in Australia, I have the list and will post it if you request it.

Your recent ceo did not allow the bodies of the victims to cool in the 911 attacks. He was the first in line to ask for a government loan. In fact he asked for way too much so he could take advantage of airlines in distress and add to his personal wealth. The government caught on to this and asked him twice to reevaluate the needs of America West, not his own.

If you need documentation of any of my statements, please feel free to let me know, I will provide it.

You do not deserve to be called a Us Airways pilots. Things have been tough, but I am in awe of the pilots I have worked with over the years at Us Airways and the professionals I am working with currently.

But you know better your pilots that post a lot on this site had one year seniority when the merger was consummated.

“This letter is to confirm that if USAPA becomes the collective bargaining unit for the US Airways pilots, Aviation Medicine Advisory Service (AMAS) will not enter into any agreement to provide Aeromedical services for that group.â€￾

Any ALPA member in good standing, however, can call the Aeromedical Office at 303-341-4435, Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. mountain time, and let the most qualified aviation doctors in the world offer their advice. That’s a top-flight industry service that will be hard to replace.[/b]

Just curious...who does AMERICAN, SWA, AIRTRAN or UPS use for Aero Medical? These are greatl companies without ALPA representation. ALPA seems to want us to believe they are the only one.

Most use alpa's agent, AMAS. I know southwest and american for sure.

We had five fatal accidents in five years and now are the lowest paid.

You might want to reconsider your attack on the West.

"In a letter addressed to Capt. John Prater, president of ALPA, Dr. Hudson wrote the following:

“This letter is to confirm that if USAPA becomes the collective bargaining unit for the US Airways pilots, Aviation Medicine Advisory Service (AMAS) will not enter into any agreement to provide Aeromedical services for that group.â€￾

While the quality of various medical services might be debated at length....and whether the letter from the good doctor actually means anything once Alpo's toast can likewise be speculated about. I'd think that once past Alpa...money would again speak far louder than Prater.

A coupla' minor questions are raised by all this though:

1) Gee..I wonder why Dr. Hudson would just decide to dictate such a letter to Prater?...Too much time on his hands on a given day?..Ran out of Valantine's Day cards to complete?

2) What does this really say about Prater-Alpo's tender and loving concern for the US pilots as a group?. The clear implication appears to be: "We'll show YOU!..If you leave Alpo; We'll lean on our contractor!..at least enough to get a letter!.....so Nyaaah!"

A cynical mind "might" possibly conclude that there's precious little concern for "fellow pilots, or in fact, for anything but the mighty "mother ship" existent within Prater's precious little pack..and that they're down to their usual selling of fear and uncertainty

I'll have to agree with a previous poster that Alpa's actions and correspondence are truly the best sales pitch available against Alpa.....

I believe what he is talking about is expectations.

I cannot think of one pilot who came to work with US thinking they would be receiving the lowest compensation for their career.

Probably pretty easy to see that USAPA is nothing more than a scab union, if there is such a thing. Not the members themselves, but the 'union' and its sole reason for being- circumvention. No one wants to be associated with it and risk being labeled for life.

Mr. Cactusflyer pilot,

Since this thread is referencing the ability of airline pilots to access the services of AMAS and you brought up the issue of scabs, can you tell me how the true 'scab' pilots that are now full fledged ALPA members flying for Continental, are being labeled?

If you see dog do do in the grass, it is a natural reaction to circumvent it.

To all the posters and other readers of this forum:

I ran across this on another web board. One of the west pilots has a daughter with a serious medical condition. All things aside, time to pull down the rhetoric for a moment and check out this link:

Donations may be made in Morgan Perry’s name to Chase Bank account # 764973871

or via paypal - there is a 'donate' link on http://www.morganperry.org with a paypal button that will take you right to the proper page.

No matter who the bargaining rep is, we all need to consider one of our own is in trouble and needs help.

In my book, once a scab always a scab- doesn't matter what the you label is.
