Winter 2006/07 Schedule Changes

Damn, Where are they going to put the planes? Anything new coming down the pipe? Is DUB going to keep the SNN tag all year long?
 
During the summer, the flights will likely operate as two seperate 763s, both non-stop, from O'Hare.

You mean ORD-DUB-ORD and ORD-SNN-ORD on two separate 763s during the summer (with the SNN tag for the off-season)?

Two 763s ORD-Ireland would be very nice.
 
Pulling down the 75ER's is probably helping to backfill the 75T's which are being returned to the lessor (and then leased to DL). Not sure what is happening with the shell from ORD-GLA unless it is going to do ORD-SNN (which to me seems to be a waste of Jet-A).
 
My understanding of the press release means that ORD-DUB-SNN-ORD will always be 1 A/C and be operated with the same flight 92 designator. Which means we still have 2 767's AVBL. 1 from ORD-GLA and 1 from BOS-CDG.
 
I thought 75's over to secondary cities was the next big thing. At the rate this is going Bos will be an eagle station except Bos-Mia, Bos Lhr and Dfw and Ord. The transcons that are left are all going 737's- not a pleasant 6 hour ride. With the fast aging infrastructure I wonder if we will be rolled into Jfk down the line.

I wouldn't put BOS-LHR in the safe category, especially as AA looks at expansion oppurtunities in Asia. I know it is a daring thing to say, but look at other routes that have been ended lately. Who would have ever though UA would discontinue JFK-NRT/LHR?

And I think most passenger would agree with me when I say they'll take a transcon 738 over those garbage 757s that AA flies anyday.
 
Dallas-Osaka is gone. Last flight (from Osaka) is 28Oct06. 772 will go on second DFW-LGW flight.
 
Which in turn frees up a pair of 763s (which had been operating DFW-LGW-RDU-LGW-DFW). That's a lot of aircraft being freed up, although as I said earlier, I suspect some of this will be earmarked to start backfilling the 75T's as they start being retired this winter, as opposed to opening up new routes.

Too bad about KIX but there were plenty of times I worked this trip and there would be less than 70 people in Y..I know that passenger loads aren't the only indicator of profitability but a lot of us thought it might go away eventually.

No to SYD and unlikely for FCO.

Miami-Rome has been studied recently, but that is also very unlikely. It would operate winter, and make Rome a year-round station again.

Dallas-Rome could fill during the summer months, but yield would simply be horrendous. There is no need for it with O'Hare-Rome.

Dallas might be losing their Zuirch flight too. AA might move it to Chicago.

Thanks for the info. If we do lose ZRH, I sure hope we eventually get something to replace both that and KIX..I'm hoping for China of course..when is the announcement due?

The FCO flight out of DFW was always mentioned as a seasonal flight for the summer only but I tend to think that it won't happen.
