Usapa safety should immediately file a complaint with the faa over all those delta painted northwest airplanes running around, unbelievable neither dal or nwa unions are completely unaware of the safety problems this is causing, it is only right for usapa to step in on their behalf.

edward is right! everybody calm down and go curfluffel themselves!
sorry, i just could not resist........

The AFL-CIO. Would that be the parent union of ALPA? Do you think that the parent is going to go against the union policy that usapa is trying to get out of? Good luck with that.

The AFL-CIO is no more the parent union of ALPA than the ATA is the parent company of USAirways. Where DO you dig this stuff up?

The AFL-CIO is concerned with labor law, and how any court decision might impact all of its members in the future. Don't think Judge Sleep's decision escaped their notice.

Oh I don't know. Maybe off the web site. Maybe looking at the back of my old ALPA member card.

The Air Line Pilots Association, International (ALPA) is the largest airline pilot union in the world and represents nearly 53,500 pilots at 36 U.S. and Canadian airlines. Founded in 1931, the Association is chartered by the AFL-CIO and the Canadian Labour Congress. Known internationally as US-ALPA, it is a member of the International Federation of Air Line Pilot Associations.

But what do I know. You have been a member way longer than me. I would think you would know that.

I agree the AFL-CIO will be interested in binding arbitration meaning something.

So the AFL-CIO and usapa would be willing to forgo past arbitration because the majority wants to.

11. The Kagel Award. The conditions and restrictions imposed by the Kagel Award, effective October 31, 1988, shall not be affected by the foregoing conditions and restrictions.

This was in the east original proposal. The AFL-CIO is willing to put their name on the line to get rid of deals made in arbitration. We merge with UAL they don't like the conditions, gone. They don't like the order of the list that usapa hands them, gone.

You guys keep thinking short term.

When Dave Seigel was around the name almost went back to Piedmont and I still think it isn't the worst idea I've ever heard. In fact I defy anyone to come up with the name of an airline with a better reputation for customer service.

Piney,

The thought of LCC sullying the reputation of the Piedmont name is one of the last things I'd like to see happen...

Jim

I agree with you Jim. At first I thought the heritage planes were a good idea, but after seeing this operation I with they would paint over the PI airplane.

OK,

Here's the final warning...

NO personal remarks of any kind...if you use the term YOU you better be referring to a group not an individual. There have been too many deleted posts and the corn field is getting full again.

I don't know what is so difficult about following the rules.

AND while we're at it, quoting or posting letters or emails to pilot groups from other sources will NOT be permitted at any time....got that USA320PILOT????? Your posts have been and will continue to be deleted with content of that nature.

Grow up people. There is nothing ANY of you can do or say on this board that is going to affect the outcome of this dispute...so why you insist on continuing to attack each other here is just beyond me.

If the attacks continue the thread will be closed for the remainder of the cycle with NO discussion of the issue permitted.
