Yes it would be great to get all the furloughed back soon. As far as order of recall I don't think we have any original East pilots furloughed only post merger new hires.
My understanding is that the TA will be renegotiated by USAPA to bring back furloughs by date of hire which would be West first. They can come back in order to either East or West open positions and can pass recall until the last furlough is offered recall and then must accept recall or resign from the list.
West recalls accepting East recall will work under LOA 93 and be junior to all original East pilots per the TA unless USAPA negotiates DOH for them. The West furloughs who get East recalls will be the real lottery winners advancing way ahead of their more senior West comrades via East attrition and International growth.

Hey Nic4,
Once we get back to 595 aircracft (the 435 the East had, and the 160 the West had), then we can talk GROWTH.

It is over. Time to move on and get an industry leading contract. Control your emotions. Your angry west f/o's are costing you and the company, a lot of money. The East side should not have to pay for your mistakes.Funny. You think this is over. Not by a long shot.
I do not want the West pilots to be treated any differently than you were as a former PSA pilot and now USAirways East pilot. What a crock!
The angry East F/O's and the ALPA haters have cost everyone a ton of money on every side. Not to mention quality of life issues with enhanced vacation, better scheduling and reserve system and more.
The West pilots don't deserve to be slam dunked and basically stapled by DOH just because USAirways has never been able to meet your career expectations.
Your arrogance is overwhelming.
But I do agree it's time to move on and get a new contract. But not by screwing the West.
What is very interesting is how a former PSA pilot became the mec leader of the USAirways pilots after the PSA, USAirways merger. The former PSA pilots had no retirement money but when the former PSA pilot became the mec leader of the USAirways pilots, they were suddenly allowed to take lump sums from the USAirways pilots retirement fund. The former PSA pilot and former USAirways pilot mec leader, then left for a position at ALPA national.
ALPA at its best. I will never relax and enjoy it sir.
There are in all fairness, many former PSA pilots that are loyal to the East pilots.
I don't think we had a lump sum option until the USAir merger though.
Keep looking under all those rocks though. You may even find Jimmy Hoffa or the unknown marksman from the Grassy Knoll in Dallas.
It was a democracy back then too. The majority ruled. You didn't like it then but you love it now that you are temporarily in the majority.
Good evening.....
By the way, a guy I know talked to Lyle Hogg. The company knows they are seriously understaffed on the East side. Then the early acceptance of the 3 330's adds more hiring pressure. They are way behind on gearing up for the recalls, which have to come quickly. I would imagine things are going to be looking up for those furloughed who want to come back. Hope to see you furloughed back soon.

A great many loyal people have been wrong in their loyalties. Jim Jone's followers come to mind. Don't drink too much of that USAPA Kool Aid. It could be hazardous to your health.
Thank you for debating the issues and not attacking me with a personal vendetta.
924PS- There are going to be some interesting developments coming with the pension. You may not ever get your money back, but then again you may. To term it a waste of money is doing you and others a disservice. We all owe it to ourselves to look into it. Remember how quickly the PBGC took it, and other airlines they held back on? That is because there was a tremendous amount of money in that "distressed " account. I am not saying it was not in trouble. It most likely was a candidate for a freeze. But giving it away that quickly was something that should not have been done. I am sure you can agree on that. As far as the LOA 93 issue goes with the pay- you might just get some good news shortly on that. I think your odds are better that 50/50.I have no vendetta, as most of the Angry FO's and ALPA Haters do.
I just want this insanity to end soon for the benefit of all USAirways pilots East and West. I'm tired of putting money in management's pocket while we continue to make less than we made in 1989.

You are correct. There has to be some way to get these two groups going forward. Who knows anybody that could pull it off? I will get Phoenix on it as I hear he is related to Jimmy Carter. Is this true Phoenix?"Insanity" is a good way to put it. USAPA, with the help of West pilot input needs to find some middle ground to work from to move this process along. The threats of more DFR lawsuits won't bring back the NIC. However, even USAPA has to know that the 9th ruling was not wholesale license to do anything they want. There HAS to be a way. Time for reasonable individuals to step up and find it.
