Thanks for clarifying that . So we can THANK him for losing those 18 cities what was that about 600 jobs. WAY to go there Pal
Guys out there on furlough or just been bumped to the east coast and are doing 2 and 3 leg commutes.. Be sure to send your
good pal RR a Christmas card with a great big THANK YOU for pushing to sell out your jobs for a few pieces of silver

and freedom . the contract was amendable on dec 31 2009, But that was Highly unlikely to happen since we had a gun to Uncle Al's head
but superman RR jumped in and took all the bullets out of it.. AGAIN a BIG THANK YOU.. RR. and freedom keep up the fight lets see what else we
can lose the next time. OOOPs sorry I forgot you won't be around for a next time..
If Bagchucker is right then IMO the west will have much if not all of the job elimination. This was discussed when you tried to educate the west during the last contract vote. Unfortunately, they sided with management and made you and others the bad guy. A terrible price they will pay. It's the PSA plan all over again. Eventually, the only employees left out west will be the east.
Can't say you didn't tell them so.

1. you can thank RR for that raise you got , however ungratefull you maybe for it

2. you can thank RR for the extra holidays you got

3. you can thank RR for the end of the 60 day rule , Those guys who are communting if they hadn't found another location after sixty days it would have been BYE BYE forever after XYZ amount of hard work and years of toil ...

4. you can thank the COMPANY for getting rid of the stations that were due to be gone in 2011 ... ( you have to know things are bad when the company blantly violates something this black and white )

5. you can thank ron roth for all of his super human effort to bring about the contract , because without it , on dec 2009 i can assure you , we wouldn't be striking .

Hey Janitor,
Long time no speak. Your right . We tryed to no avail. But then again that's democracy for ya.

It is unfortunate that if what Bagchucker said is true. then Yes once again the West is getting hosed.. Again another big THANK YOU

to and the man "that saved the west " RR.. What good is a raise when your no longer employed to receive it. May be next time some

will listen to the Old timers that have seen this over and over and over. But Hey its time to move forward. To the folks that were affected and

possible anyone in the future Good luck and One bit of advice if you want to listen to an old timer. Try and stay on the company payroll however

you can. PT, transfer cause it seems once your on the street the doors just don't seem to ever open up again. . I speak from experience so

take it for what its worth.

It’s hard to be patient with a sick policy that unjustly penalizes people for being human .

So let's not add more frustration to the mix. Until the arbitration is finsihed the Company will discipline and terminate whoever is not in compliance with the policy. Yes it sucks that people are losing jobs because of it, but NOTHING beyond whats already being done can help. Of course now that you'r siding with your coworkers I'm sure you feel better about yourself Freedom. Honestly though if you want to help those who got fired due to the policy open up your wallet to them. It's a lot fatter with the contract you voted in.

When we had the benefit fair here in PHX they were passing out the number for the EAP line like mad , and now I know why .

Brother I'm glad your finally getting the help you so desperately need. Remember. Get your Doctor to fill out the FMLA forms . that way

you won't progress up the scale while in recovery..

hmm with that tone you make me sound like some kind of "turn coat "

I want you to remember that i gave you the best possible advice that i could back in the middle of 2007, on where things would end up for us . i want you to remember that i said , and i quote myself here from 2007 " by the time the contract is up there will be lines of people around the block waiting to take our jobs "

furthermore i went beyond that and told everyone i could about where the US economy was heading , and as always i expressed my deepest concerns for the continuation of our company ...

i'm sorry that i can't give you the lotto numbers next week , but i think i've done enough .

Ok here it is from the horses mouth!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The company lost 3rd Qtr money they will reduce vegas by 50%!!!!!!! I hope all of you who voted for this contract will think about all the employees who have lost their jobs and will probably never come back. Especially you PHX people who are greedy and dont give a rats ass about anyone else. PHX has proven themselves they only care about FT people in PHX, if you dont believe me ask the person on the grievance committee and Im not talking about the two TWU officers, they only sell out part timers and they are not afraid to admit it. Ive heard them say well they are only part time why should we fight for them. Those two PHX people only want AGC jobs and they should be banned!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! PHX stand up for yourself, PLZ

Tally ,
WHAT THE H@LL.. You mean to tell me that we got EX TWU officers representing our IAM members in PHX.. let me guess that smells like

RR all over it. Someone might want to tell them if they want to REPRESENT the membership they have to be objective . A PT is a dues paying member

just as much as a FT . ??? when is their terms up , Sounds like PHX needs to clean house like CLT did a few years ago. A point of interest. IF you want

to represent someone its because you care about keeping the company honest and abiding by the contract. and fighting for the memberships rights.

NOT about getting a AGC JOB. Freedom, here"s your chance to shine your star. IF your GC is corrupt get your meetings in and run for office.

Sidenote: I met one of these guys a few years back if its the same person . I wouldn't trust him with throwing out my trash much less represent me .
I guess the blood money he received for selling out has run out.

Can't say you didn't tell them so.
Here we go again. As if we'd have voted NO and clung to our crap wages and crap contract all these jobs out West would have been somehow saved. There is no evidence to support this; it's a conclusion based purely on assumption. If the company wants to cut heads they're going to, either by the contract or around it. The cost savings will come a lot quicker than any arbitrator's decision.

If there's some big announcement tomorrow about furloughs and I'm one of the unfortunate ones then so be it; to say that such would a direct result of my having voting yes is rather ignorant and short-sighted, and wishful thinking on the part of those so blinded by their own self-righteous convictions. Whatever. I'm so over this.

Tonight I will weep for your keyboard. Specifically, the Shift and 1 buttons.

Does not wanting to wait three years for the first raise make one greedy? If so then I'm guilty as charged.

It's my perception that the grievance committee in PHX work hard at what they do, and I've seen them address the concerns of members both part time and full. Rest assured they do read this board. I'd imagine that a good number of our committeemen and stewards serve for to serve, regardless in the name of whatever acronym that might be.

Another reason that Jester may not want to run for a union position is that no matter what capacity one serves in or how hard one works or the amount of hours one commits, there will always be that small number of trolls in the membership that see their foolish assumptions as truth and take every opportunity to cut you down. I keep myself mercilessly aloof enough however to not have to worry about the very banal and vicious silliness that is station-level union politics.

Instead, kitties!

PHX has proven themselves they only care about FT people in PHX,
The unions need to make part-time agents as cost infective as possible.
Raising the cost of having part-timers create less part-timers and the existing part-timers have good pay benefits and work rules

Oman,
They not only didn't listen but they still don't get it. There simply isn't any reason to discuss this with them.
The east sacrificed and voted no to save west jobs but the west believed Parker and made the east the bad guys. For a chuckle, I searched back to some of your post from 2007 and you said,

"This contract guarantees that those 19 stations will be contracted out before we get to the next round of negotiations. The Date December, 2011 is a date that is real but it isn't backed up with any language to actually protect the jobs. Parker will start by dismantling LAS and then start reducing west coast stations then he will dismantle PHX. We've watched this one before."

Oman, you are a prophet. Although LAS has been semi dismantled, I believe it will eventually disappear and I agree with you that PHX will be next. Same thing happened with PSA. SFO, LAX, SAN got picked off one at a time. Unfortunately, the west will not make it to the next round of negotiations but this may mean more solidarity instead of senseless bickering by those in PHX who have continuously supported the sand castle and thrown themselves and others under the bus.
(RIP PHX)

The Janitor

We can bicker all we want , it doesn't change the fact that our company is dying,as is the general economy.
