Just wondering why PHX and TPA Greivance Chairs didn't attend the GC conference last week .

figured with all the issues PHX was having with there AGC's it would be a good time to get together and iron things out .

I thought it was a mandatory conference , guess I was wrong. Not trying to stir anything up just curious cause that would have been a

great opportunity to get some things accomplished. I know CLT GC was able to work on some things.

These are TWU guys...You would think they wanted to go ...Unless they would have had to explain a few things to everyone? With UA looming, they need to get with the program. They are not " Independent " from everyone else....Unless they want to be, but thats their choice not ours.......

From what i heard PHX "tried" to go to the conference but the flights were full? huh? The GC from SAN successfully made the trip. There are plenty of ways to get out of a PHX hub.......

None of which may actually get you where you need to go in any reasonable manner. It's a lot harder to get out of here on certain days than some might think.

Doesn't SAN have flights that overfly PHX anyway? Not sure what relevance that has here.

Very interesting why didnt the GC or at least one of them gone??? i guess there will be some explaining to the membership why they didnt attend, but for all phx brothers and sisters next LL meeting is april 13th

Even that can be an issue. I tried it a couple weeks ago with no luck. The only option was to fly to BUR and then rent a car and drive to SAN, but then the last few seats on the redeyes disappeared. MEM was full, BOS was full, SFO was full, MCO, TPA, CMH...all full. See what I mean?

Funny we have held the Chairman's Conference in CLT before and ALL Grievance Committee Chairman are invited, the local lodge recording secretary gets the call and the E-Board is responsible for getting it on the agenda and then at the meeting the members authorize to send the chairman.

Really? This again? Really? A little witch hunt and pecking party just to prove who's got the most union dedication and cred? We get it. You are all hardcore labor rollers. You all work harder and are more dedicated than these schlubs in PHX that hold secret midnight sacrifices before an underground TWU altar. You all look great in collared shirts and name tags. Great job.

It blows my mind the PHX GC not wanting to travel across the country to go and hang out with such a friendly group of tittering bloodthirsty hyenas. Maybe they figured they could better serve PHX membership by staying and focusing on local business; god knows there's probably enough of it. What Earth-shattering revelations did they miss? What information or materials were presented that couldn't be just as accessible on a webcast or transcript or meeting minutes?

We really have nothing better to discuss here than why Phyllis and Tanya didn't show up for tea?
