I just want to put my two cents worth in here. I recently transferred to PHX and this place really sucks. My question to any Union Leaders that may read this is
why is there such a disparity in stations. My God these bozos running this station are a joke and the membership around here for crying out loud everyone walks
around with there head in the sand. Who ever is in charge of the Grievance team here needs to go to some of the other stations to see how things are done. I'm guessing he is new or something
but anyway . there I got it of my chest . I think It would be a good idea to get a Grievance guy from say LAS to come here and teach these guys the contract
Can you can give us more specifics in terms of what you've seen/experienced so far in PHX so we can get a better idea?

I know for fact that some of the LAS stewards talk often with those in PHX. Two of the ones in PHX that come to mind are P Rez and CL, both ex TWU Officers. I find it hard to believe that they walk around with their head in the sand.

PHX is a toxic dump. You folks from LAS that went there to be leads have stepped in a big steaming pile of doo-doo. Put in for transfers to the east as soon as you can. Come on in... the water's fine.

I was referring to the general membership and the lack of education of the contract. those guys you mentioned certainly don't walk around with there heads in the sand that would be hard
with the huge chip of their shoulders. Although I do think it is the responsibility of the committee to educate the membership and that is something I see as lacking here. What's up with the no food or drink
at the monthly business meeting for crying out loud a slice of pizza and a coke would be nice .

I can tell all that the committee in PHX works very hard for the members. These brothers do it because they have a passion to see the members treated fairly. They do not get paid and on more occasions than not invest their own money and tons of time for the benefit of all. We can thank the company for making their job harder than needs be, D.S will not give them the time off they need to operate as a committee and that is because he takes orders from corporate. Their time off is being challenged as well as the ACP. There have been many delays because the company has been using tactics such as canceling arbitrations at the last minute just to make the union reschedule and also we did not have a full panel of arbitrators due to a death of one of the arbitrators. The company refused to schedule arbitrations until the panel was once again filled. The union also has the burden of proof to gather information from future cases to fight the attendance issue due to the language in the cba that allows the company to impose policy. Multiple cases need to be heard and won then gathered or packaged to fight the acp on the 6 areas we believe they are in violation. Although the company agreed to expedited arbitration, they were hoping the union would arbitrate without any ammo. This will take much longer than planned and the union feels as frustrated as the members. We all need to stick together and not be divided by this anti union company that shows its employees no respect. They EAT their OWN! Scary!

Very interesting. Thanks, goodfellow.

Clt mgmt. continues to violate our contract. Sunday night fleet svc was put on mandatory ot till 1AM I was told. None of this was done by seniority just blanket as usual. And to top it off lead agents were the ones telling folks they had to stay.

Now to make matters worse the over time is still not showing authorized in Workbrain. I do not understand why they continue to get away with this crap

That has been a problem for ever, seems like the Committee and the AGC need to step it up.

1 st shift you are lucky. Not a shop steward but I know enough to know if they refuse to pull the list (and they never do) just leave. Have been advised of that by current shop stewards & our committee guys. Perhaps oman can chime in if he's around.

Harry are you talking about the night that there was thunderstorms in the area and the airport closed due to TORNADO warnings????????? Ya they had to mando bcuz hey couldnt call people into work in the middle of TORNADO warnings and airport being closed down, sometime we cant stop mother nature. Dont get me wrong I hate being at work when I dont want to be there, and if I get mando'd because they forgot to call overtime thats one thing, but TORNADOs are another story. They place was on stand still for an hour and then backlogged, how long did you get mando'd for an hour?
