Here's one for ya CL. The District asked for your support (of which is one of your own RR)
in the Upcoming elections. The LEADERSHIP informs said District "we got your back" . Low and Behold Nominations
come around and a lowly 4 people show up out what 1,000 members.IF thats having my back I would rather have you against me.
I do believe the ND AGC was able to secure you guys with a time clock outside of security which should help cut down
on the "lates" also I believe the ND AGC got you an office to work out of . Gee doesn't look like they're

against you as much as you think .

Freedom one of the most active of the PHX membership doesn't know whats
going on. That falls back on the leadership. Where's the briefings ?
I guess its hard to know about elections if no one tells ya.

Nobody ever said AGC's are against us, we are not interested in the current election for various reasons. Nobody cares for RR here either and he's not running.

You just proved that the PHX mentality is "us first, enerybody else...who cares". PHX should care about the election for the district. It is for the people who represent us, and believe me, we do not want JR, MW, or DZ as our AGC's. They are part of canoli's crew, the very same crew that likes to screw over fleet service, shelve grievances, lie to the membership, kiss the company's ring, ect. ect. ect. Heck JR lied to my face about a grievance. I do not know why you are so bitter towards the district, but we all have to support those who fight for us after it gets past the committee. I sure hope CL does not feel the same way as you.

Actually the union boards are being updated quite regularly with meeting notices, meeting agendas, announcements, local issues of interest and clarification of policies as they relate to the contract.

You are making the assumption that folks out here aren't aware of these things because they haven't been told, and that's not accurate. When's the last time you were in any of the break rooms in PHX? And don't try to hold other people accountable for what freedom does or doesn't know, that's a low blow.

I think it's more likely that a great deal of people simply don't care about what's going on in the district or the greater IAM. I know I'm not, not right now anyways. You might consider that a fault or failure of leadership. Maybe it is, but maybe a lot of us in PHX aren't so easily led.

He hasn't been preaching about anything, in fact he wasn't even a part of the discourse on this thread until the topic was abruptly changed and he was forced again to defend his record. You lack the facts and understanding to justify your accusatory tone and unpleasant attitude. For those of us that the PHX GC and stewards have gone to bat for and really been a resource and a help you're not doing yourselves any favors in trying to tear these guys down, and you'll have to forgive me if it looks like you're doing so not because of their supposed failure of leadership (as you claim) but because they're not towing the party line and leading as you or the district think they should.

Slinging mud on people is not going to help garnish interest in the goings on of the district. Don't hate on me, I'm just trying to provide another perspective, as unpopular as I know that to be.

Who said I was bitter, just not interested in the election of east coast people or United Airlines people. I said in an earlier post that I don't think the N.D. people have experience and I don't know any of the United people or the other ticket other than MW.

And how often have you seen MW? Are you saying that "west coast people" or former "America West people", because there are former East stations out west, would have the necessary experience to interest you? If you recall, CL was supposed to be part of the ND08, but for personal reasons, had to decline. And would have made a great asset to the ND08 team. So we all are stuck with RR. What experience do they need to have your support? So which is it, "West coast people", which includes all former "east" stations as well, or just "former America West people"? Which ones would you support?

Would support CL. Would have to see other peoples abilities to say whether I would support anyone else. Don't like the IAM structure which almost makes it impossible to get the best people in office unless they all happen to run on the same ticket.

Because it certainly appears that you think the ones running, and our current AGC's are not, in your opinion, the best people.

Don't need to be an expert, just pay attention to issues that have arisen and how they were addressed. Also, how many arbitrations were awarded by the arbitrator in the Unions favor? I met the N.D. here in PHX right after they won their election. RD was here also. The one thing they were all talking about was that they were going to fight this point system because the company had no right to put in a point system because of past practice and the fact that contractually the company couldn't. I had a contract with me and asked them how we were going to get around 13. C.? Now, I hear them all say that the company has the right to put in the point system based on the contract. Like I said before, I have no problem with any of our AGC's on a personal level, it's just the inexperience.

Ask the current AGC's who they think are the best candidates across the system and then we can put these people into office.

To all my PHX sister's and brother's, we ALL need to get ourselves out to vote on June 8th!

Prez is right about the way our Union does the election. Who is to really know who we are voting for? I am sure there are a few who know. Gracious sakes, how does a typical ramper know what airline these people even work for? This has to be fixed. Now Boy's correct me if I'm wrong, and I'm sure you will, but isn't it possible that no US Airways AGC's get voted in? How does this work? Do the ballots say what airline the candidates are with? What would happen if no one voted for them, and just United people were elected? As unlikely as it seems, I think it could happen. Another point I'd like to make is why would we ever think that as US Air members we should be electing United's AGC's? Why would they pick ours? This just seems to be a mess that needs fixing!

Darlin's, here's another thought I have, and again to my sisters and brothers here in PHX, do you want those boy's back east to think they run this place? Not that they aren't a lovely bunch, but come on, let's show them we care and that we will get out of the pool, or off the golf course, stop on the way to or from work, and vote. It only takes a minute. Everyone is watching to see if we will vote, including the company. The other cities are laughing at us. They're sure we are not showing up to vote. They don't think we count! Let's prove them wrong!
