AMFA getting it done

Ok, so you are just here to spread what things are like with AMFA, ok with that. My dog in this fight is that I believe in Unions and reality and what I see being preached by AMFA supporters is pie in the sky b.s. No truth out there that I see admiting $10.07 Billion in losses conntributing to the pain these men and women at AA have endured, only deceit.

So what airline do you work for? What position do you hold within that airline? You could be a troll from the reamsters? Somebody from the iam at usair? Another brain dead twu bubba? You have no dog in this fight unless you are at aa in the mechanic and related classification. You are doing nothing more than trying to stir the pot here. My personal belief is you are not even union. You are another piece of ( ) management on this board.

I answered you.
You are on some crusade to prove something that us not even in dispute.

I don't know that anyone has said what you claim is being represented.
That if AMFA where at AA then they would have come all the way through the last 20 years unscathed.

You claim you don't know all the problems at AA, but are all too ready to give the TWU a pass on their record.
What gives?

The point exactly.

I just read through this entire thread and no one has made the claims for AMFA that saywhat is attacking.

Additionally, have you noticed that he hasn't made a single mention of the teamsters campaign and their "pie-in-the-sky" promises?

I'd expect to see more posts like it as AMFA moves closer to filing.

In the last 25 even when AA was the most profitable airline, the TWU never had a industry leading contracts for the AMT, doesn’t that tell you something.

What thread are you reading? I see complaint after complaint about outsourced work and this union and that union allowing it. Yes there are posts about how the AMFA structure is and that nobody is appointed and they are elected. Don't get me wrong, I don't have a problem with those posts about structure and elections but the talk about outsourcing and cuts ring loud and if there aren't many people on here thinking that AMFA would do better in that regard is outright B.S. I am pro Union, anti management but am smart enough to realize that any Union that has accepted cuts in salaries, benefits and jobs is not doing that to screw people. You see, the dues money helps fund negotiations, arbitrations, training, representative salaries etc. and to think that any Union would be ok with cuts to its members is crazy. I am not promoting any particular Union here, just calling B.S. on the fact that considering the huge losses at AA that any Union would have done any better. Pie in the sky thinking. Someone debate these FACTS. IMO, your disgust should be with management at AA and how they drove your company into the ground.

They can't replace the management at AA.
They can replace the union.

You have mentioned in several posts now that if union dues go down that it is a bad, bad thing.
Maybe your dog in this has something to do with the amount of dues flowing to the international.

Just a guess.

B.S. on the fact that considering the huge losses at AA that any Union would have done any better. Pie in the sky thinking. Someone debate these FACTS.
Because the TWU didn’t do better when we had the most profits in the industry. We know any Union would have done better with the big losses at AA.

The only mechanics that want the TWU to stay are the mechanics that are appointed positions with the TWU. They are not willing to give up a cushy job

And now you're trying to requalify your previous statements.

You started this little sleigh ride, level attacks against AMFA that no supporter here has made. Now that you've been called out you're trying to generalize your previous statements.

Cut the crap ..... you claim you work for an airline other than AA, who? What union do you belong to?

Explain Why if you're....

just calling B.S. on the fact that considering the huge losses at AA that any Union would have done any better. Pie in the sky thinking. Someone debate these FACTS

Why haven't you made a single statement against the teamsters for the very same reasons you attack AMFA?

Your claims of union neutrality ring hollow.

You are spinning. What Union in their right mind would be happy with losing members. There has been an assault on Unions from the right for many years and unfortunately 90% of the members of Unions sit back and watch this assault and do nothing about it. Half of the states are right to work. Airlines are not safe either under the RLA because of membership apathy. If I had a nickel for every Union employee that I heard #### about dues or political affiliations of Unions I would be rich. If people decide they want Union A that is their choice but the realization is that Corporate America. the Koch brothers, the right wing etc. has deeper pockets and has been in an all out assault on Union Brothers and Sisters for years and the notion that any Union has the power to stop it is ridiculous. Add losing Billions and what would the outcome be for any Union? Job losses, salary and benefit cuts, etc. What the workers in America need to realize is that Corporate America is not there to take of you and the PEOPLE that work for a living need to Unionize now. The attack on workers will continue until people wake up and realize this.

Not a teamster fan, I am a Union fan. I am stating that when Companies lose Billions and attack workers, that no Union has a chance, AMFA, TWU, AFA, IAM, IBT, ALPA or any other. How do we fight this, organize the outsource companies. AMFA is not a savior, that is what i have been saying.

Not a teamster fan, I am a Union fan.

That still doesn't explain why you've yet to level an attack against them, when by your own criteria the ibt is just as guilty as AMFA for the "pie-in-the-sky" promises you continue to refer to.

Also is there some reason, you cannot share who it is you work for and under which union?

For example....

I am a 20+ year mechanic at UAL. I am currently represented by the teamsters, and have been previously represented by the IAM and AMFA. AMFA being the superior of the the three by my experience.

Don't like Unions fighting Unions when the culprit is Corporate America and the right wing. Work at one of the major airlines, almost 30 years and have been represented by several Unions.

This is the second post where you have said this.
No one on these boards has made this claim either.

Have you got any new reasons why the AA guys should not vote out the TWU and bring in AMFA?

A noble sentiment.......

But you still haven't answered my question, which only emphasizes my point in asking it

Again, why have you yet to level an attack against the ibt, when by your own criteria the ibt is just as guilty as AMFA for the "pie-in-the-sky" promises you continue to refer to?

BTW your continued dodge on where you work and under which union is duely noted.

They can choose any Union they like, you need to read the posts again if you don't think AMFA is the savior in many eyes, I can't help you.
