Elevation,

Jim

Are you still on the Alpo payroll? I'd thought that you'd earlier indicated some petulant notions about not serving all those desperate souls in need of your august input to save them from bidding errors?..Given that your weren't being sufficiently hugged and kissed by all hereabouts? I do find some moments to wonder just WTF your personal agenda is good sir...but I'm sure that it's an issue of "the good fight"...sigh. ;)

What about those 77 vancancies Eastus? Got your lie toghther yet???

Anybody else get a letter from our beloved ALPA?

I just received an e-mail from National reminding me to activate my ALPA voting account. I'm glad I received it, because the original letter with the instructions had found its way to the middle of my mail pile.

The point is, I had forgotten about it, and it is necessary to activate one's account to be able to vote on anything that comes our way. This is important, especially in light of the fact that it appears that the West MEC and certain East ALPA lifers are in the "We need a deal; any deal" mode, and we could possibly be in line for a cram-down sooner than later.

I would suggest that everybody make sure they have activated their voting account ASAP.

Never was, but don't let that stop your delusions.

Just wanted to see if you'd ever admit than someone, anyone, that did ALPA work might serve some useful purpose. You answered my question - you see no worth in those who selflessly do such things as accident investigation, safety, etc. Driven only by hatred and false bravado, I see.

I do find some moments to wonder just WTF your personal agenda is good sir...but I'm sure that it's an issue of "the good fight"...sigh. ;)
Undoubtedly you're having trouble because your "better than everyone" mindset doesn't comprehend that someone would have a different opinion than yourself. People with closed minds often have that problem.

Actually? I see a great deal of worth in people who selflessly serve their brethren, as opposed to some who'd seek any opportunity to tout the greatness of an "Association" who's sole purpose, in the current scenario, appears to be destroying the last vestiges of said brothers career hopes via seniority eradication. Personally?...I'll take the comrades over the "Association" anytime....period. We apparantly have significant differences on that position.

So find a post where I ever said ALPA was great........

Otherwise, you're so full of it that your eyes are brown.

Who cares about your ALPO posts. Show us one where you choose the "comrades over the association". Pay attention, please.

What happened to USA320Pilot?

My own opinion...he went overboard with his blather (no surprise there) and it finally caught up with him.

I expect to see him back soon, but probably somehwat subdued and much less prolific and more thoughtful (i.e. careful) in his writings, if he returns to internet posting at all.

Although I mostly disagree with most of what he says, I do wish him well and a quick return.

Hear, hear! :)

Council 90 Letter - Oct 30, 2007

10/30/2007

Fellow Pilots,

The Council letter we sent out on Saturday October 28 generated a significant amount of

email replies. We kept the letter to two (2) sentences.

We have been contacted by many pilots from all bases who feel there is an appropriate

sequence to events on our property. First, they want to see what will come of the

seniority issue with help from ALPA National. Second, if ALPA is unsuccessful or

unwilling to address the seniority problem, then these pilots might want to consider

which organization will be their collective bargaining representative.

We feel that we are approaching a solution to the seniority problem (perhaps within a

month)
.

Is this a slip? I thought there are no authorized negotiations taking place. What is it that our beloved Council 90 reps refer to that gives them confidence that "WE" are approaching a solution? Dear council 90, is this an admission that you (WE) are in secret, unauthorized negotiations?

I think the plug was pulled on JNC negotiations on the joint contract only. I don't think those resolutions precluded trying to work out the seniority issue, but I could be wrong.
