I think the plug was pulled on JNC negotiations on the joint contract only. I don't think those resolutions precluded trying to work out the seniority issue, but I could be wrong.

Prater has made it clear that ALPO will defend the Nic Award. It was also reported last week that Prater "slipped" and was asked if he was negotiating, to which he responded, "Maybe I am."

I don't know in which venue Council 90 is "approaching a solution to the seniority problem" and I don't know who they include among the "We " who "are approaching a solution". Evidently it may include Prater. But ALPO doesn't appear to be forthcoming.

Not in the minds of the majority of pilots in our combined groups. This is reality.

Not true 88 you should have said not in the minds of us on the east as we should get second, third and fourth tries at what we demand.

Acceptance and move on!! This was decided back in May.

Regardless of your own notions, or preferences; the east is indeed the majority.

"Acceptance and move on!!" That's a good one

Good gravy so vote already!

It has been months and you all are still walking around mumbling the same old "ALPA sux and if they're not careful some day we might take a vote or something. That'll show 'em."

So do it and get it over with.

Soon, real soon. All good things take time. Why is it so many people have to have instant gratification? Especially when we're given only one shot a year.

By my recollection the USAPA drive did not get up and running until late June. Then you have had 4 full months to collect cards to date. That is moving pretty quick I would say. Considering all the ramifications.

Looking at the seniority numbers from bid 08-01. The bottom number is #3553. With j4j guys still off the property. Only guessing about the west but I have heard somewhere under 1800. Not bad for a majority.

Maybe in your eyes. I think the same of you too. But that's OK. Differences make the world an interesting place.

Indeed.

Although I suspect it's far too late to stop the decert effort now, from watching the latest Scott Kirby video, it's clear that even management concedes that the award can go nowhere. It is only a list with names on it, unless and until a contract is ratified with the list in it.

You can repeat the words "binding arbitration" all you want, but the award is joined at the hip to a new contract, and I won't vote for a contract with that award in it.

Financial incentives and contract provisions designed to persuade me to vote for a contract will not work. I lived through "parity + 1%". My income, when plotted out, looked like a parabolic curve. The good times lasted maybe two months.

As soon as we experience another "s*#t hit the fan event", those incentives will dissappear.
