To our West Brothers and Sisters:

Implicit in that letter is the concept that another union would actually be superior to ALPA. Having been a Teamster (airline division), APA, and ALPA member at several different carriers I can unhesitently reveal that there's not a darn thing USAPA will be able to do that ALPA can't. It's the leaders, not the union that matters. USAPA's raison d'etre is to screw the AWA guys. Finis.

Actually yes there is something that USAPA can do..........That is allow each pilot to have a VOTE!!! and a direct say in how we are represented. I guess you missed that.

Screw the AWA pilots? In what way? If we want USAPA to have any chance at longevity, screwing the AWA pilots would NOT be in our best interest.

He sees DOH with fences and conditions as getting screwed. He feels entitled to the advancement provided by the East route structure and attrition ahead of you even though the East pilots are the ones that sacrificed for it. For some West pilots, the East not opening the bank for them to rob, will drive them crazy. They have the weapons(Nicalou, ALPA) but just can't get access to the vault. Shame on USAPA.

America West Airlines and the CEO, now current CEO of Usairways profited from the misery of the 911 incident. Now they are profiting from the hard work and sacrifice that Usairways employees made.

Bottom Line.

Get real......ALL the AWA employees have worked hard for many years to keep AWA from failing. You should try to find out why AWA got the loan...the first request was turned down...after a certain work group went to bat for AWA it was approved.....so know what you are talking about. What the beasties (Oops I mean the east coast folks) have done is walk right into the trap of America West Holdings, Inc. the TRUE owners of US Airways. You have become the new "fools on the hill". NOW....You want to change your union....you want to cause problems for the AWA pilots...Get back what you THINK you deserve....well let me enlighten you people....if you think PIT is a one off....think again. AWHI will sell you off.... it will disembowel you....it will cut off your air...and smile while it does it. I agree with who said Doug should have let you fail.....but you will do that all by yourselves....and you will destroy thousands of lives just to make a point. In my eyes you people are no more then terrorists yourselves.

Does anyone know if there can be two pilot unions on the property.....or if a law suit agaist the beasties new union can slow them down....I see lawyers in your future.

PS....Here is a quick scenario for you to think over: You beasties will start your new union...Doug will sell you to NWA (because TPG has LOTS of shares there) and because you are no longer ALPA and they are ..... well you might get to see what the bottom really looks like. This is just one idea Doug and his gang might come up with.

Can you blame them? I'ld feel screwed too if I stumbled upon the winning lottery ticket but couldn't redeem it! :lol: I'ld be wrong to want something for nothing, but lottery tickets do weird things to a person's mind. :huh:

Killing the cash cow? The problem you don't seem to realise is the profit center for this company is east of the Mississippi. Any questions? And yes this "fool" has wanted to change unions long before AWA even thought of merging with US.

WOW!! Osama73pilot here. :lol: Your rantings are getting better. Did you come up to our level or have we slipped to yours? I really hope Doug will sell off the east. It would solve a myriad of problems. Hope he gets a good price for the cash cow. But if he does it means I can start drawing my PBGC retirement as a supplement for my next job. That would work. Good idea.

Geez imagine that. Lawyers. Slow us down? Doubtful. As of now USAPA is collecting cards for the NMB filing. You going to sue the NMB? That I would like to see. However, there still isn't a ruling on the SBU yet, but it will be only a matter of time when USAPA files for an election.

How original. To quote a famous west poster who has disappeared "NEXT". Except for one small thing. We wouldn't be represented by ALPA to sell us out like the TWA pilots. Who knows, we might be able to get the NWA guys to join us. Ever consider that scenario?

Big campaign promise, fella. If a union sent every resolution to the pilot group for a vote business would grind to a halt. USAPA may be structured differently but the net effect is the same. If it was such a great idea how come neither the Teamsters, APA, SWAPA, UPS union, nor Air Tran union do it that way?
