Winter 2007/2008 Route/Schedule Changes

I doubt it is going to happen. One reason AA applied for it was protection. When the US/Argentina expandd their air service treaties, it was almost obvious that CO and DL would be applying for more frequencies, and AA wanted to stay ahead of the game in the Argentine market. As it turns out, CO and DL have shown no interest in the frequencies. I hope that AA goes for it, but I wouldn't hold my breathe.

Looks like ORD-EZE is a go.....

Good news for Chicago. AA will have the only nonstop, United makes you connect through IAD.

Looks like CLE-MIA is getting cut back to Sats only in October.

Dallas will get a flight to Panama City and Miami will be getting quite a bit of new flying. The flights will be loaded this weekend.

Is that Panama City, Florida or Panama City, Panama? Also, any idea where this "new flying" in MIA is going to?

If we merge with another airline, NW would be a jewel to obtain. I just hope the NW unions stand their ground, and make sure they aren't stapled to the bottom of anyone's seniority list.

That was a stupid comment. You want to get placed below them if we aquire/merge with them? Man you need a brain! Guess what Jim? You will be furloughed again if that happens. Get back into the flight service office and place another f/a on a 1WW.

Trust me, if I knew more, I would tell you guys. I'll probably have the info tomorrow.

And it is Panama City, Panama (PTY) getting the DFW flight, not PFN.

Does anyone have any news about the AUS-MIA flight? I remember somebody posted a while ago that this route would start up sometime in December as a continuation of the SAN-AUS trip. I believe the plane (737) was supposed to originate in San Diego, fly to Austin, and continue to Miami.

Any news would be greatly appreciated. I checked Sabre through March of 2008, but there is no non-stop action between Austin-Miami.

Thanks,

Miami-Austin is the next Miami-Phoenix: it keeps getting delayed! It will happen eventually.

In December, as of now, Miami gets a daily 738 to Phoenix, a third flight to Montreal, a second flight to Detroit, sixth daily to Boston, and three daily 777-200ERs to Sao Paulo, three extra weekly flights to Santiago (DR), three extra weekly flights to Santiago (Chile), and a third daily to Providenciales. More additions should appear soon.

Also 13Dec07:

BOS-PLS, SaSu service
DFW-PLS, SaSu service
MCO-JFK, daily
SJU-AZS, daily (AZS = Samana, Dominican Republic)
AUS-SEA is gone
ORF-ORD is gone

Thanks for the update. Too bad about AUS-SEA, even if it was an odd flight from the beginning. However, the non-stop between Austin and Miami can't happen soon enough.

MAH4546:

I just checked Sabre between Sep 2007-Feb 2008. It shows Miami will only have one non-stop a day between YUL and MIA. Am I missing something? It seems the late night departure from Miami which arrives in Montreal around midnight has been deleted from the RES system. I hope I'm mistaken.

Thanks,

Slightly off the subject, but it seems as if AUS is becoming almost a mini-hub with all the non-stops that bypass DFW. Mind you, I'm not complaining. AUS is one of my favorite layover cities.

It's kind of puzzling that we don't have a f/a satellite base there considering how many DFW f/as commute from AUS and SAT, and how many morning originators we have from AUS.

Don't know why they aren't showing up, but there are three daily non-stop Montreal flights leaving Miami at 0725, 1230, and 2055.

Lot's of schedule changes were loaded last night, so everything might not be in line right now.

Also, to note, it looks like Austin-Seattle is a seasonal discontinuation, at least that is the plan for now.
