Stop telling lies. I did not post this thread, I was just very vocal on here with my take on the situation and am just as entitled to my opinions, however right or wrong they may be, as you are.

I do not expect the East to sit back and just let anything happen. Just keep in mind that the West shouldn't do so either.

If you keep dividing yourselves, Glass will eat you for lunch, you really need to wake up and educate yourself.

Jerry Glass may just have to settle for sloppy seconds for lunch because there is no unity between East and West. None. Nada. Nicht. Zilch.

If you can find any proof of unity please post it here. I need to be educated and enlightened.

Just to let you know, I once really was excited about this merger, teaming up with the East, and what we might gain from each other. You may have to investigate and go back and read my posts when I first joined this board.

You know, I can tell you are not an active union member, a true union member would not breed, foster and develop the divide and conquer mentality.

If you had any real idea of how things work you would not show the company especially Glass your weakness, but too late now.

He will eat you for lunch and he has not lost yet, go do some research on him, you won't get a seperate contract and the new one you get will be horrible unless you unify.

Ask anyone of us who dealt with Glass first hand, we will tell you how if you show weakness that you will lose.

Trade sides, if you can, for just a moment, and imagine that we were the more senior, dominant workgroup. Imagine all that we did on here was say that we were going to take away your Transatlantic flying, invade your bases, and we are better than you only because we have been around longer.

We on the East have ALREADY traded sides several times....you seem to forget the past mergers let's see PSA, Piedmont, and Trump (Eastern) those airlines added the high seniority we are all dealing with today. Did we complain about that happening...sure we did but that's the name of the game....you just deal and move on!


Unity? We aren't seeing it over here folks. Last night walking down the B concourse in Phoenix to go check in I passed an East crew, smiled and said hello (a common practice of courtesy that comes naturally between us "westies"), only to get a look of disgust from them like I was a panhandler on the sidewalk. Not the first time either. Yeah, I really want to team up with this group for a single contract!

That's because we are hearing and seeing all of the complaining and whining coming from the West.....and frankly we've been there done that soo many times it's not worth it....we are tired and exhausted and just want to move on....AGAIN! We seem to be changing our ways daily over here to mirror the West side and quite frankly the changes are steps backward and really make our jobs harder to do onboard the A/C.,ex. the new catering packouts on the Airbus A/C.....don't even get me started on that cluster !@#K. :angry: The deal is done, stop putting off the inevitable and move on.....trust me its' not worth the aggravation and heartache! The past is the past and it ain't coming back! 😉

Until the policy changes (which may be soon as we transition to East's more relaxed procedures - thank God) we still have to play by our managements rules or suffer the consequences with some unpaid time in the desert for our mistakes.

Jesus Christ! Who's trying to stir the pot now? With the other topic aside, FA duties and responsibilities onboard are not always "contractual".

I will admit it, there are procedures over there that are a much more efficient and customer friendly than those we have here and it will be nice if we can adopt them to our certificate.

By next year it won't matter, we will be sharing all of them.

Personally, I hate working widebodies. Did it with American (domestic and international) in the Eighties. Working those DC-10s was like working on a football field.

In this particular case, we really have no choice as these policies and procedures are going to be administered to us whether we like them or not, contract or no contract.

I am just going to comply with whatever revision they stuff in my mailbox next on how we are supposed to crack Coca-Colas open in the aisle the East way.
