US Pilots Labor Discussion

"Touche...Take that Red Baron..."

Parker said Charlotte is "an extremely important part of the US Airways network, and always will be." Since America West's merger with US Airways, the airline has added flights in Charlotte, and cut flights out of Phoenix, which had been an America West hub.

"I can't say enough great things about US Airways' view of Charlotte as to growth," Parker said. "We'd like to see that continue."

US Airways currently has serious labor challenges. The pilot and flight attendant unions still haven't been consolidated after the America West merger. That's led to harsh rhetoric and no new contracts after more than five years.

But Parker told the Observer those wouldn't be a major barrier to a deal, should one arise.

No it really shouldn't if the company is parted out! MM!

Then you agree that that USAPA will continue to be ineffective as long as it chooses to alienate the West pilots.

1. You've brought the stress upon yourself.

Without Unity, USAPA is powerless to achieve anything of value to its members. USAPA primary job is to represent ALL pilots and get a contract. Instead of desperetely wasting its resources hoping to avoid the NIC.
USAPA = Ineffective, rudderless, impotent, laughable by choice.

You really think so, huh? We were an airline of over 5000 pilots and over 400 A/C and we watched helplessly as management team after management team pi$$ed it away.
They took our pay, our benefits, our pensions, our authority, our schedules, our time off, and anything else of value always promising that things would be better if we went along. You don't think that will cause stress??? What did we do other than make deal after deal with the devil to keep the airline alive??? You truly have NO CLUE.

And you think if the East embraces the Nic that things will magically get better, the airline will prosper, we will get a good contract and get along famously with each other from that day forward??? What other dillusions are you under?

This doesn't get better, it gets worse.

exactly .. well said.. that is the point. Ferguson has 8 years on me, so the point is the West owns this place in 12 years..... They sure are worked up and would not even consider a fence.. Reason being they know the NIC is their lottery ticket.
You need to rethink your statement.

DURING the arbitration. You know the time when these things happen. It was the EAST pilots that refused to talk about a fence. It is you east pilots that thought you were going to get the lottery ticket of DOH.

That was the time you should have considered a fence.

many of the 16 year guys had over 10 years of longevity... and what they brought is the crux of this argument for me. They brought the attrition that the east has...
More than 1/2 of this East airline is gone in 7 years.. So yes that is what we brought.. the ability to be in the left seat in short order under separate ops.
Here are simple questions.

How much seniority did Monda have at the time of the merger?
How much seniority did Colello have at the time of the merger?
How much seniority did O'Dell have a the time of the merger?

As usual you east guys have things 180 degrees wrong. The junior guys do not have or hold or bring the attrition. They WANT the attrition. At most normal airline the attrition happens at the top of the list with the senior older guys. It is the junior (furloughed) pilots that want that attrition to get back on the property and move up.

The junior (furloughed) guys don’t bring or own it. They are only hoping to take it. It does nothing for the guys that are the attrition. They are gone with no benefit.

So if they want to sit around with no pay raise or contract and soon hand the junior guys (furloughed) their attrition so be it. Not sure what they are getting out of it. But then again I have seen some pretty weak east captains that let their F/O’s run the airplane and now the union.

Again an answer with no defensible facts or figures, this is why you are cowards with no integrity. you agreed to binding arbitration where you demanded doh, you didn't get it so went back on your word like the sleaze balls you are and hatched a plan (usapa) to take it by force. To explain your despicable behavior, so the guilt doesn't eat you up, you convince yourself that: "but it's not fair", "we lose a bazilion captain years", "you will inherit the airline", "you keep what you brought" etc.. This explains why the east has to use the force of the majority to get their way, and this explains why seehams whole defense is how unfair the Nic. is period. You clowns got lucky that our management gets their morals from the same place you clowns do and has allowed the west to lose 22 aircraft and 400 pilots, so that now you pieces of crap want to use charts and figures based on the backward movement directly caused by your direct actions a full 6 years after we were declared single carrier. Despicable clowns.

You dumb clown, I am saying that chart is a LIE, a verifiable lie at that. What on God's green earth does a pilots AGE and percentile have to do with a freakin seniority list? Think about it clown, how is it possible that Eric. is better off with thousands of extra pilots above him in the usapa chart? That is why you freakin lying scabs won't come up with the data used. That chart was done by usapa for dfr1 and your scum bag lawyer was going to use that chart , but when he was told how usapa derived the chart he withdrew it immediately. Clowns.

Ok fodase, show us. You come up with a graph that has the true data that shows Eric's progression with the Nic, DOH, and AWA standalone. I will give you the chance to prove it and I will listen to you.

I can't tell you that I am 100% certain that the USAPA graph is correct because I didn't make it and I don't have the data. But..........I have seen the similar graph for me and I can assure you that it was correct.

Here could be a reason that Eric is better under the USAPA chart. You notice that at the beginning he is worse? He is worse because even though he is part of a bigger group, more people go ahead of him than behind, so he loses relative position. Now, as we go forward in time(and his age-funny how the go along, huh?), the east attrition kicks in, mostly the ones senior to him, and his relative position moves up. He is a part of a bigger group, and more senior east people leave ahead of him than would have on an AWA only list, so........his relative position is better with BOTH DOH and Nic as time goes by than he would be AWA stand alone, just the Nic is waaaay better right now.

Does that help?

The key word is "were". As in, "at one time" but things changed for you and you are trying to recapture your youth on the backs of the West. For what? To be a Captain for 1-2 years? Is your ego so dysfunctional that you are willing to work under LOA93 just to say youre a Captain? Pathetic.

USAPA = Living in the past.

They also agreed to Binding Arbitration...

USAPA = Lowest pay til the last day. (Except Cleary $191,000)
