Yew thank the son kin do thangs to the pint, yew should sea what it does to grammar. I'ld stick with the black bird for proofing.

Speaking of proofing, when you put the words Yew (ewe) and pint together, I know of a few people in the UK who would get a good laugh. If you have spent any time in Scotland, you would understand.

Once upon a standup weary

I pondered my previous enviable pay

Now I'm supporting Mike's inaction
For a paycheck that's a fraction
A fraction of what that kid in the RJ makes

Only this and nothing more

My union swears that I'll be screwed
If that Nic that I just viewed
Ever makes it to a vote

Pat Day will scream with temples throbbing
Of the jobs the west is robbing
Robbing the lowest payrates ever seen

Quoth the F/O's - Nevermore

I scratched my head and paused to ponder
If those westies over yonder
Would choose to move to Philly for my seat

I begin to look with some suspicion
If this phantom called attrition
Will yield the golden ticket Mike's assured

Sehams retainer - evermore

I think of 15 years I've served
In the right seat while I deserved
Much more and promised greater still

While USAPA shreds the remnant of my pride
Tomorrow I turn 65
And I retire as a casualty of the war I chose

Only this and nothing more...

I did not say anything about hubs. I asked specific questions. How about you stick to the subject.

Answer the questions about your unmerger or STFU!!!

I am tired of hearing you whine about something that is not going to happen.
REALLY look at your crystal ball junior, Your children would be so proud of your language, sort of goes hand and hand with intelligence! MM! And if your tired get some rest!

Where is the love east pilots? The 3 year birthday of usapa came and went without notice. The greatest union very conceived turned 3 on Monday but no announcement, no party, no celebration. Heck usapa did not even bother to put out an e-mail or a message from his highness King Cleary.

Where is the list of accomplishments? The letters of praise from other unions that strive to be like usapa? Where is that industry standard contract? Where is that integrated DOH seniority list?

You guys blamed ALPA for all of your ills. The Nicolau came out May 2007 and you gave ALPA 11 months to “fix” your problem before you threw them off the property. You have now given usapa 36 months. How is that working out for you guys so far?????

So no pony or party for usapa on its third birthday. Maybe the fourth birthday you might get a birthday card from Parker thanking all of you for another good year of supporting the company in their pursuit of profits by staying on LOA 93 wages.

Happy birthday usapa.
We read that gibberish you sent to Tracy P. I guess USAPA is really on their game, your part of the fence is deadweight and will be pieced off in the next transaction, no sense in buying a hub that brings no revenue and litigation by it's employee group! Your contracts will be sold as your services ! MM!

PSA was purchased by an airline that neither appreciated their niche, nor had the ability to manage it effectively. US was purchased by and continues to be run by a management team that has experience in maximizing the potential of PHX.

To compare the PSA evisceration to the new US, it would be like Parker shut down LGA or something. Oh, wait...
"Appreciated their niche" or ability to manage, you better check your PHX potential, let growth and revenue be your guide, BTW all NEGATIVE! MM! How was that last PHX bid?!

this is the most ridiculous thing I have ever read here... so you think Parker and team are doing a good job? I think his contempt for the employees is what will bring this place down.. His side steppin and avoidance of moving this place forward is short term gain for long term pain.. This place is soon to implode under his leadership

He's got you on a bk contract and given the industry turmoil headed our way, you'll be on the BK contract for several more years. Think about it: 10 years + on a BK contract. Who's fooling who?

You missed the point.

Uncle Ed C. had no more an ability to integrate PSA into the rest of US than Parker has to fully exploit the potential of places like LGA or BOS. So Parkers experience with PHX and it's use as an established west coast gateway (shorter range Airbuses need not be replaced with transcon capable a/c like 757) means that PHX will likely remain out of the "bottom 3" for the foreseeable future.

Ed Colodny
The only US Airways boss of the last three decades to successfully merge with another carrier was Ed Colodny, who ran the airline from 1975 to 1991, in the years before and after Congress deregulated the airline industry and stripped out government involvement in setting of fares and routes.

Before deregulation, merging was a way for airlines to grow without asking the federal government for more routes and new cities. US Airways -- then Allegheny Airlines -- did that several times, purchasing carriers such as Mohawk Airlines.

Post-deregulation, as competition increased, merging became "a matter of competitive strategy and survival," said Colodny, who described the purchases of Piedmont and Pacific Southwest as "clearly an expansion strategy," giving US Airways toeholds in the Southwest and West and making it a national airline.

It was also a way for US Airways to protect itself against corporate raiders -- especially then-Trans World Airlines boss Carl Icahn, who launched a surprise bid for the airline just weeks after US Airways announced the Piedmont deal. In a defensive maneuver, US Airways abandoned its planned half-stock and half-cash offer for Piedmont and instead paid all cash, which added $800 million in additional debt to the company.

Fearing a strike, Colodny, known as "Uncle Ed" to his employees, did not push for labor costs to come down as a result of the new acquisition. Instead, Colodny raised wages at Piedmont and PSA in an attempt to maintain labor peace.

In hindsight, that made US Airways less competitive, and US Airways emerged from the 1980s in a mess financially -- with high costs, conflicting schedules and an array of different fleet types, making the whole operation less efficient and less profitable.

This has clearly not been Parker's strategy, in fact it is practically its polar opposite in every respect.

repeat repeat repeat..

If it means the NIC, you will get no support for anything to move forward.

Dear Subscriber,

Back of The Trip Sheet Update: April 21, 2011: USAPA Rejects Real Opportunity to Advocate for Pilots, Instead Chooses Grandstanding and Fails.

Direct Excerpts from the Recent Letter of US Airways to USAPA's chief, Mike Cleary. Full letter available via the included link, below.

…"Doug asked me to respond to your letters of April 6 and April 8, 2011.

Your April 6 letter cites three highly publicized events for which you criticize the Company for not including USAPA in a more significant way. As I have on many occasions before, I am happy to again assure you that US Airways' highest priority is the safety of our employees and passengers. Each of the events was handled with that focus, with the right resources, and in conjunction with FAA, the aircraft manufacturers and other government agencies. In each case we promptly, openly and directly communicated with all US Airways employees. We are pleased with the way our team handled each issue. In none of those instances was there any reason for your labor union to be more involved"…

…"In addition, as a union president, you personally have the opportunity eight times a year to present any concerns you may have at quarterly labor-management meetings and at the labor committee meetings of our Board of Directors. Each of US Airways' union leaders, except you, attends those meetings regularly and as the direct result of that participation each of their unions has a much more productive relationship with the Company than USAPA"…
