How's that bid analysis coming that you picked up for Aqua? If you don't have access to the bids or CATCREW, I'm sure AOL would be glad to get it for you! :D

I'm apparently having a discussion with a 2 year old, When did I say that I was going to do a bid analysis? Putting words in my mouth again, aren't you? You really have turned into the standard Eastie - anything coming from the other side is automatically wrong.

The short version is that you apparently cannot rebut Auqa's statement but refuse to be wrong. Instead of disproving his statement, you just strike out. In many ways, Nosum would be proud of you.

I'll repeat what I said before - you asked a question which I answered. That was my sole involvement in this issue until you got on your pity pot and started lashing out at anyone who would dare to say that you might be wrong.

I asked him for......proof! You stepped in and took up the banner. Prove it. He might be right, I just don't see it from where I sit and don't think looking at number of C/Os vs F/O is much of an analysis. Do you? You didn't have to jump into it, but God forbid anybody question you, Messiah, on anything.

If I'm wrong and you really would like the name-calling, etc, to end why only one post addressing no one in particular? That which you claim to be against kept being done, yet you said nothing more. As I said, the lazy way out - just enough that you can claim that you spoke out against it but not enough to change it. If that is the standard, I've done more than you - correcting posters directly. So you can stop saying or implying differently.

You're the hubby watching the kids while sitting on the couch having a beer and watching TV while the kids run amok. When the wife comes home she's upset at the path of destruction that the kids have left and asks you why you let them do it. You, having said "stop" to the kids one time that was ignored, claim that you did all you could.

You asked a question, (paraphrasing) Can you think of a reason that there would be more captains than FO's. I answered that question. You apparently didn't like my answer and here we are.

Would I do it again....well let's say I now think some change is needed. Change in leadership, maybe union entity, etc. None of us has a crystal ball, and we make decisions based on the facts at the time. (otherwise we all would have waited for a job at Southwest).

I felt an internal union would represent the pilot group's interests better than ALPA was doing at the time. (NIC doesn't affect me, so seniority wasn't the deciding factor) I remember being at the gate in MHT real early one morning....CRJ next door. The lights came on in the CRJ without anyone coming up to the airplane. I looked at the F/O and said..."those guys slept on the airplane!" He looked over and said that was a MESA flight and with less than "X" hours of overnight, they don't get a hotel room! How can ALPA sign that type of contract and then represent our pilot group. Union National secretaries being paid more than line F/Os....something wasn't right.

Trouble is when you vote for change you don't always get what you hoped for.....sounds somewhat familiar doesn't it?

Time will tell....these are all long timeline processes to sort this mess out.
I don't disagree with any of your thinking, (except the swipe at Obama but that's an entirely different issue)

Let me use the words of some of your disciples, Chill Dude! I was out on a scenic 4.5 mile run. You should try it sometime, it's a great counter balance to this place.

I can't show you the post where you said you were taking up the banner because you didn't say you were, I did, when you interjected yourself into the conversation.

It wouldn't matter anyway, I showed you were wrong about the C3, C18 and you just blew off as "not enough".

As far as the C3 go, has it ever occurred to you that you may be doing more damage than good by beating something to death? That's the way I looked at that topic. To many easties, I'm a weak sister. I didn't think any apparent support from me for the C3 would do much good, it might keep the pot stirred, and guys jobs were on the line. That's the reason for the muted post. That, plus for me to be honest, I would have had to say that the action of the ACP was stupid, even if I don't wish to see him lose his job over it. I thought it was better to just leave that alone, but there you go, since you wanted more. You know I haven't taken that type of stand on other issues, even though some would like for me to shut up.

Brat, you need to chill dude and forget the past. Yes, you were against DOH back in 89 and got screwed by it, that doesn't give you a license to screw somebody else now. I will be the first to agree your career sucks.
 
Parker is not giving us a contract and the sides are too divided to effectively battle.
It's not Parkers job to "give" us a contract. It's the unions job to make a contract the lesser of two evils for the company to choose.

If ignorance is bliss, you must be ecstatic.

The integration happened in '89, the list came before that. I was kind of indifferent to it, as at my seniority it didn't matter much. I think I would have been fractionally better with relative position, but it wasn't near the hit ole Jim Bob took. I understood my captains concern of losing their seats, but I could understand that some wouldn't want someone hired after them place in front of them. I tried to listen to all sides. The merger and management's handling of it ended the quick upward movement of PI and US pilots. What I didn't like was certain US/PS pilots telling me how US saved PI. DOH didn't screw my career, US management and a change in the industry did. Still, I think I'd take my career over yours. Tell me about yours and I will decide.
