You will come out ok Mitch, like you say..in 5 or 10 years. You are young enough.

By the way, your favorite band in concert tomorrow on HD Net, afternoon East coast time.

RR
I'm not Mitch, though I'm flattered. His IQ is at least 30 points higher than mine. I'm 43 years old this year.

And the pi brat,...... if you had half a brain you could figure it out.

"I could while away the hours, conferin with the flowers, consulting with the rain....."

"and my head, I'd be scratchin, while my thoughts were busy hatchin, If I only had a brain...."

I always thought the PI brat was because you had a thing about the ratio of the circumference of a circle to its diameter,,,,well that or your mom or dad or both worked at PI.

Please tell me you are not a day over 35! I really don't want to share the same generation as someone like you.

And I never thought I'd have to share a profession with people like you....and yet, here we are.

Sorry '99 "new hire" I'm over 40, well funded, and motivated to sue...which is a really unfortunate combo for the thousands of you on LOA93.

Not my choice.

Buenas Noches.

I hear it often where West pilots say it's therapeutic for them to donate. I'm proud of my fellow West pilots. We've stuck together and we have the stamina to see this through to the end. It's been a very worthwhile endeavor. Plus, it's going to pay off. Heck, it already has paid off!

As professional pilots we should all be pulling for higher wages at the regional carriers. To quote Ronald Reagan, who would have been 100 today, "A rising tide lifts all boats". The more regional pilots can pry out of their managements, the better. Not only for them, but for us as well. The fact that JetBlue EMB-190 captains top out at $142.83/hr is a good thing, for them and us. Sure makes it harder for "Dougie" to to maintain that USAirways pilots flying that aircraft are somehow "not worthy". Not to mention how totally inadequate it makes the 320/737 pay here look, both West and East!

There are NO pilots at this company that are "happy" with the pay. As for a great future, that belongs to the West. The shoes I wear to work are older than the number of years it will take the West to inherit this place. NIC or not!

US Airways will be bankrupt again before NIC or DOH ever takes place. Then a new light will dawn on the horizon. We will name it.....EAL!

There ya go, I always knew you and lynyrdskynyrd were the smart west guys on here. Maybe you guys could hold class for prechil, and metrodrip.

"I like Pi, who doesn't like Pi?..........."

When you get to sit to my right you will enjoy it.

Did you fly Metrojet while you were here? You might have already had the pleasure.

That's an enlightening post. Care to expand on what you mean by "Heck, it has already paid off!"? I don't want to make a wrong assumption, as that seems contrary to most west posts.

If you really believe that, I assume you have applications out to other airlines and I wish you the best of luck in getting on with a new company. I don't know why anybody under the age of say 45, would still be here. I ran into an old Navy buddy of mine in the crew room years ago (1996 or so) who remarked to me that he was flying his last trip for USAir. He was former EAL and had gotten hired by Piedmont about the time EAL was going out of business. When I asked him why he was walking away from 7-8 years of seniority, he said he had seen this show before and was getting out while the getting out was good. He had gotten a job with FedEx and I assume he is a widebody Captain by now. Fred is one of the SMARTEST pilots I have ever known!

Couldn't you just see yourself sitting in some HR office with your dark blue suit and red tie on, talking to some politically correct, twenty something management weenie and responding to questions like: "So tell me, what do you feel you can bring to Belchfire Airlines"? I probably wouldn't get the job after responding, "Gee I don't know, would a handful of type ratings, over thirty years as a professional pilot and twenty thousand hours of flight time, be of any use to you?..... YOU JACKWAGON".

That's why I quit keeping a logbook. Bar-tending at Hooters might be fun!

I was talking about the last 10 years...not the beginning of time. See, the difference is my time line has some bearing on present day reality...you know, where the sane people live? I know you guys want to believe that it's still 1983, your airline isn't a F'ing embarrassment, and sitting in the right seat of a dc-9 going to Binghampton is a Goldmine. Just isn't true.

The economics of 11 different AC types, and two hubs in the same state, (one of the few with a continually shrinking population I might add) and outrageous compensation for what was never anything more than a glorified regional is what brought you down. Not a totally unrelated airline thousands of miles away from you.

Start living in reality and I'll STFU. Until then, YCSMD.
And what were you doing over the last 10 years? Let me guess? CEO major corp. Dean of Law Harvard. Come on tell us Air Force TPS, Your just another Pathetic Puke from PHX now to be known as PPP'S. Now go crawl back under your rock, oh yea dont forget that great background we all want to know.
