The company decides to SHIFT flying. Reduce 10 AB Capt spots in PHX and increase 10 AB capt spots in PHL. What protection does the west captain now have?

Answer NONE!!! He will have to bid DOH. That puts furloughed pilots above 500 of our captains. Stapled west pilots with no protection.

You mean USAPA's rampant actions that insured that there was no entity to represent only the West is what is holding up any compromise (defined as West caving in to the East), don't you? In theory USAPA could come up with a suitable compromise, but I doubt it will.

Ummm, USAPA said they were the quickest way to a contract... nice to see you don't believe them either. Also, you are the majority, you control the union and your union isn't delivering on their DOH promise. Why do you think that is?
And lastly, we tried to sue you, the case wasn't ripe. When are you going to give us the DOH contract USAPA promised? I've been waiting three years How much longer until we can get all the technicalities out of the way and get this back into PHX court?

Really????? We must have all be asleep that day huh? The courts did no such thing! All the court did was say not quite ripe yet. I think the new west policy is just sit pat and allow you run on LOA93 until you're little hearts and minds are content. I feel that a contract at this point would ensure that we get downsized in the west and force to bid out east which is not at all pleasing to the majoity of us. So will will sit with our min fleet and better contract and just watch.

No, the east was using DOH every single offer at Wye. Thus, no compromise by the east = no deal. That's why we are where we are. Eventually, your side will capitulate but in the meantime, I am curious why you think the C & Rs you propose are so good for the west yet you refuse to incorporate them with a Nicolau seniority to protect the east.

You say you have been around for 25 years. You should be able to figure this out on your own. You don't really need some "rookie" "furloughed" west pilot explaining this to you do you? Figure it out yourself.

Dean Colello and anyone junior to him was/is a furloughed pilot at the PID. That is where we start. Colello would go from being furloughed to being senior to about 500 of our captains. That is a staple. No other way to describe it.
