US Pilots Labor Discussion

We are already in that 60 day window and I think a good initiation date would be when the unions announced they were on board with Parker, if not a little sooner.

The unions, and Parker, have been meeting since late last year and have been hammering out respective term sheets for a month or so. That 60 days is to now convert those term sheets into tentative agreements.

So the timing looks as though mid summer is going to see a whole lot of movement.

As for approvals, I really don't see any issues with approval or STS determination before the end of the summer.

Factors Indicating a Single Transportation System

The following are some indicia of a single transportation system:

(1) published combined schedules or combined routes;
(2) standardized uniforms;
(3) common marketing, markings or insignia;
(4) integrated essential operations such as
scheduling or dispatching;
(5) centralized labor and personnel operations;
(6) combined or common management, corporate officers, and board of directors;
(7) combined workforce; and,
(8) common or overlapping ownership.
I won't say never or even unlikely I'll just say getting everyone onboard within a year is pretty optimistic.

Expected ruling by Silver by end of April. Over for the company and AOL....who knows how long USTUPID will take to realize that.

That's tomorrow. Okay. Come on metro, come clean. Why the passion about this? Since you don't work for us. Just curious.

Ok uhaul or fodase, lay this all out in a timeline for us, since you have the inside scoop. So, APA takes over. What then? Signs off on a new contract for east/west that concludes our merger and cements the Nic, then we go through MB with AA?

When do you get to bid CLT uhaul?

I don't know the timeline but it will be quick. There will be no transition agreement. "If" the merger goes thru Doug and amr will have a contract in 60 days, once said contract is ratified the apa will file for single carrier status and offer the west and east the contract9 Don't take my word, read the apa term sheet). Once we are under one contract the apa will form local counsels to represent east/west and the sli will begin with usair forming it's own merger committee. All legal per the rla with apa running the show.

Ok, so if we accept APA's contract, does that finish our merger and we are one while we wait on the AA/US SLI? What if we don't ratify the contract?

that's exactly right, the contract will be offered (just as if usapa had negotiated it) to lcc pilot's to vote on. It will be take it or leave it offer following the nwa/dal process. If we don't take it apa will impose it. Try a dfr when you get huge raises.

Pi,

I see you've taken chunks of time off so you probably missed the number of posts I've put up regarding this. But since I've taken a shine to your naiveté, I'll repost again.

Our contract is being negotiated as we speak. The NMB will declare us an STS by the end of the summer and will be a single C&C with the APA declared as our SBA. Their contract becomes ours.

How fast? I'm guess very early fall, which may be a bit optimistic, but Horton may not fight this off like everyone thinks.

My guess is that I'll have the option to move out to CLT in 2014.
