Wow, Suzi and her merry band were a real eye opener at the PHX crew news.

Its one thing to let go and let off steam here on a relatively anonymous board by saying things that otherwise would be unprofessional... but I would have thought that pilots in public would have had a survival reflex that would kick in and suppress their emotions to the point of remaining cool, calm, and collected... especially since there was a video recorder clicking away the minutes to archive their behavior for the ages. And for them to add self-insults to self-injury they seemed to find the mike to be an inspiration to let it all hang out. It was like they were under the assumption that they had to be stage hogs getting their last opportunity.

I think they were fully convinced they have to fight for their portion of the oxygen on the planet. I don't even think Doug could convince them that the sky is blue.

Oops. Sorry for the delay. Back to bargaining everyone.

I've got a lot of yard work too. If the company had their way I would have been doing a Cancun turn today because of an 11:30 pm pota call. Luckily my wife picked up the phone so quickly I didn't even hear the phone. I noticed the message on my cell phone this morning. I have to wonder if they went all the way through the list before they called me.

I don't remember anybody asking me if I wanted all those triggers,flows and and taxi checklist that is done instead of a before takeoff checklist. Quite frankly this whole industry is a mockery.

Truly pathetic! How many of those 90 were on FPL? 5000 pilots claimed to be represented by usapa and less than 100 bother to show up.

How are you going to project a credible threat of a strike if you can't anyone to show up? Truly pathetic especially after 150-200 west pilots showed up and told Parker directly what we thought.

The mighty power of USAPA with their extortion-fueled million$ behind them can't get more than 90 pilots to display so-called solidarity while a couple of guys who the west pilots admire and respect can turn out more than twice that at a crew news with just a couple e-mails.

Kinda makes you wonder who should be running USAPA's replacement.

I don't think it is. I could put my $2000 per year in extortion fees to USAPA to better use.

A real union could up that figure to closer to $3000 for real value and I would consider that a worthwhile investment.

I can't seem to figure out why guys making so little out east are willing to throw their money away without demanding at least a little value fom the Kleary Klan.
