ACTUALLY REMEMBER YOUR TEAM TEMPE, said they needed to sell the E190 to FUEL HEDGE, now they taught their brilliant financial position because they didn't hedge, sounds like jibberish to US! Simple: ALPA/ALPA deal with the 2 MEC's "taking care" of the deal. Why don't don't you ask a NWA pilot now-now that the "deal" has sunk in. My brother-in-law just retired over the deal at age 52...sick of it all. The NWA guys jumped at the dough and gave away their soul doing so.

Actually at the time of the merger, US Airways brought over more than 250 active aircraft in their fleet, with 3100 bid positions. All pilots were being recalled due to attrition despite a shrinking fleet. There were more 757's on the East than there are currently despite the 3 ATA 757's. The additional 7 A330's are debatable as they were part of a US Airways order and continuing their plan to expand Philadelphia.

But just in pure numbers there were 40 more odd Group II and bigger aircraft, 500 more bid positions in the US system, and a higher minimum fleet protection than in the transition agreement. So not only would the 1700 pilot be around based off the fleet at that time, there would be 500 new hires, even with the age change. So East pilots probably have more to groan about if you want to go down that path.

Clearly, the East Coast heat and humidity has taken its toll on you MM. Please try to stay hydrated, with water, and lay off that other stuff for a while.

Why are you still proposing we whimper for approval? No matter what you do in life there will always be people who will tell you that they don't like what you are doing.
 
These examples you cite of how the Nic was put together, are they from the reasoning Nic used or are they your spin on how unfair you think it was?

Frankly, I am one of the biggest proponents of the Nic on this board, and even I find reasons to be sympathetic toward certain east positions. So I do not talk to OAL pilots much about the situation we are in, but they always ask. So I let the f/o explain what is going on then I just give them 3 numbers.

1. My AWA seniority 6??/1884
2. My Nic seniority 19??/5400
3. My usapa DOH seniority theft number 42??/5400.

Their response is always the same. I quote the last UAL pilot to get the stats. "Holy XXXX, no wonder you guys are so pissed." "You need to sue those XXXXXXX$ into oblivion." A response to which I concurred.

Maybe it had something to do with the fact your fearless leader Doug was buying Delta, and it was going to be USAir. And Doug would run it! For that, I say their fears were extremely justified!!!
 
It's amazing that a handful of east pilots use this board to make up for their own lack of relevance or credibility. They find a couple of west pilots upon whom to purge their hatred and unconcealed self-loathing at remaining teathered to a failed career well after the the time to move on.

But this is kept in perspective and not unnecessarily extrapolated. In other words, a few turkeys can't inflict much permanent damage over a chat board.

Bring on the representation vote. The east's history of fracturing in order to protect their personal interests can and will be used against them and USAPA can be tossed in favor of no union representation. USAPA can't be fixed and when the DFR is in full bloom, it will be too expensive to repair as well.

The west pilot's interests are best served by delaying a contract further, denying those USAPA supporters set on stapling the west from harvesting their ill-gotten fruit. Let them retire under LOA93 and wonder what could have been if they had just started with reasonable goals from the beginning.
3 more 330's coming BEFORE the end of THIS year. Bular is dusting off the passport and French visa again.That will be announced shortly. Also, you already have assured more flying for the East by not getting parity. If the LOA grievance is lost, it will get even bigger. If we get the LOA cash? Then we sit back, and wait for the massive retirement numbers/sick numbers. They are coming on strong. This, is your reality that was created when you insisted on holding us down and laughing. It was a gross error. One of just many.
