More Groups Wanting To Fire The TWU

Has anyone gotten  any real kind of an update on our stock?  I don't mean some little sound bite or rumor off the floor or from these boards. I mean a detailed accounting of what has taken place. From day one we have been in the dark.  Hell with the twu we are continually kept in the dark and if you prod to hard you get labeled a trouble maker. Good luck to anyone who can untangle the accounting nightmare that this would entail. Don't expect any help from the organization your paying dues to either. By selling the stock and diversifying it to liquid funds is like storing water in a bucket full of holes. Merry Christmas twu.  You just became the guardian of the biggest expense slush fund to ever fall in your lap! Buy a steak dinner and $200 bottle of wine on me. Have yourself a double massage on we-#### he don't mind. I'm sure the international boys know where the happnen parlors are. We will never get a true accounting of where all the money has gone but with the twu you just come to expect it.
I got an update on our 14%, I hope what has been done is legal and in the end my taxes are not affected.......

I don't want you to feel lonely. You may have an emotional need to be paid attention to?
You have it all wrong there little buddy.  You are the only one that did not get it.  All the others out here got it and understood it. You did not and responded as such. Don't try to deflect like 700 and WT does to get out of something.  YOU obviously did not comprehend the post I made and decided to attack me and call me a liar.  I'm not lonely, or have an emotional need as you suggest, you are simply trying to deflect the attention from your ignorance of comprehension.  Now, please keep posting for the lovely TWU and IAM, you just gotta love this stuff man...

Nice try. Here you go.

The case was lost for the EBO people and they filed an appeal against the Judge who ruled against them with prejudice. That decision if the appeal has any merit is due to be heard at the end of June. When that decision goes in favor of the judge the funds will be free to be released to us.

A percentage of the shares were divested into a mutual fund to retain the original value that the EBO people were suing us (TWU) for. That was done late last year and so far I was told the funds that were divested have gained 15%.

We will more than likely receive checks for our shares because of the court ruling to divest. The Union will not be able to place those shares back in AAL and more than likely we will be taxed on the proceeds.

I'm quite sure that a full audit will be done that you can take to your individual accountant to verify is correct.

I'm sorry. I still think you're lonely big guy. Perhaps a puppy or a plant that you can talk to would help?

I'll take back the liar. Is it ok to call you a fabricator then?

NOPE.  Try again.  I will not let you get away with it.  Prove the exact thing or item I fabricated.

Everything you have ever said on here has been a lie. Years and years of lies. You're at the point where even you believe your own lies.

Get help Francis. Seek help before it's too late.

WeAAsles, I heard the first group appealed but have not heard if the Tulsa gang had done so. I was told if group two do does appeal, it could possibly be lumped in with group one...

You're right it's something like that. I got a friend in ORD who keeps an eye on all of those court dockets. One guy out of DFW had told me that they (He) paid the Lawyers $5000.00 to do the suit in the first place. I don't know if the morons spent any more money to appeal the judges ruling though? I was being pretty nice to the guy up until he filed the appeal and then I cut his ass off.

If I hear anything new I'll pop it on that thread.

"The end of the story doesn't change."

You seriously find it difficult to understand that? Really?

No I understood that perfectly -

It still in no way addresses your continued attempt to try and use tired regurgitated IAM/TWU talking points in yet another weak attempt at an AMFA slight.

Do you seriously think there is anyone here who DOESN'T know how the NWA strike ended? Or the IAM & TWUs take on that strike?

Get real

Get real
Forget anyone's "take" on it. Forget anyone's "opinion" on it. What anyone "thinks" be it you, me, IAM, TWU, IBT, CWA, or the entire Planetary Population is Irrelevant.

In this Universe, "The end of the story doesn't change."

If there are other parallel Universes then there are probably different endings? Science has yet to prove the existence of Parallel Universes though, so we are left to the one we know exists for us. So again in our Universe   "The end of the story doesn't change."

And that story is a HUGH part of the difficulty you have in getting more people to sign cards. Not meant to be argumentative, but realistic. It's the 800lb Gorilla in the room. It's the biggest reason I wouldn't sign a card and the biggest reason that people you need aren't either. You can paint it however you like that I'm putting AMFA down, but that's ridiculous.

All I'm doing is reminding you what the reality is. "The end of the story doesn't change."

Two days. Kilbane, Stewart, and Rodgers got the cards prepped and ready to go I hear.

I think they should have been able to vote on those last 2 offers. Garbage or not, at least it would have left a record or a legacy of what THE MEMBERS actually chose and not just a few supposed leaders.

I think we're all on the same page that Unions shouldn't be dictatorships.
The difference is, AMFA membership has a legitimate process of removing bad leadership.

Our (TWU) story has no end, it is just chapter after chapter of CONCESSIONS!!

So do you. You chose your Local leaders who chose their delegates at the convention, who then chose what team they feel is best for the entire membership. Now you can say that you don't decide who those delegates chose. Well you can make a motion at your Local that those delegates must petition the members for who they chose and of course those delegates can advocate for who they feel is best and hope the membership agrees with them.

In the last cycle Jim Little was no longer running. The choice was between Joe Gordon or Harry Lombardo. The winds were showing that Joe was not going to win so Harry and his team took the prize. So you do have a say it's just not to the degree that you would prefer where that ballot is given directly to every member. If you wanted that changed it could be done but it would take some MASSIVE advocacy which I doubt the general membership would ever put in.

On a side note I would consider it bad leadership for not letting the ENTIRE membership VOTE on those two (Very lousy) offers by NWA management. More than likely they would have been shot down by an OVERWHELMING majority but we'll never know? They were never ALLOWED that opportunity. That was a complete dictatorship situation and EVERYONE paid the price for it.

How is that possible? Were Mechanics making more than $36.00 per hour in pay and benefits back in 1946?
