More Groups Wanting To Fire The TWU

What could make the current Southwest union struggle and potential job action a tipping point moment for organized labor is if all the airline unions coordinate on strike support for all SWA employees. The fact that almost all unions at SWA are in negotiations for years during unprecedented and continuous profits is a good time to take the company on. Us as well at AA. The TWU/IAM have a good hand to pay and supporting our brothers and sisters at SWA will go a long way as we work towards to a JCBA.
Are you trying to say no matter what if any Union in our industry needs help that we should put aside the animosity, the back stabbing, the emotional garbage, the agenda's and anything else that can be thought of and support them? Go to their picket's nationwide and hold up their signs and support them? Maybe even strategize to initiate Nationwide protests in airports where those airlines have service but have all the work contracted out or where the participation of other Unions can bring a much larger presence? You mean put aside whoever belongs to what club or what schools they went to and unite just for the idea of supporting organized labor or even those who want to be organized but haven't gotten there yet? Work together without any selfishness?

Boy wouldn't that be a novel idea.

FYI at no time was I taking hits off a joint or consuming edibles when I typed that. I was of clear mind at the time of typing the post.

Why is it that all of your posts lately seem like they smack of desperation? You even have had posts in all CAPS screaming for our mechanics to join your group (SWA AMFA)

Are you sensing a possible storm coming and are afraid that your group may not be able to weather it? (Remember I read the updates) Having strength in numbers absolutely could help if there was solidarity when one group needed the other and that could be coming soon for you guys?

The reality as I see it (And I think you do too) is that you need the AA Maintenance group more than they need you. Today is the last day that those cards need to be boxed up and shipped out. By a rough estimate that means North of 7000 cards had to be done? Did they get all those US people? The related groups? The ones on layoff with recall rights? Will there be an announcement made tomorrow which I will congratulate your friends on if I hear it?

Swamt have you seen this article? Is the clock ticking for you?

(Reuters) - The pilots union at Southwest Airlines Co <LUV.N> on Tuesday announced staffing and funding for a committee to prepare pilots and the flying public for a walkout, in case it cannot reach a contract deal with management in coming months.
The new strike preparedness committee will work with outside consultants and others in the union, the Southwest Airlines Pilots' Association (SWAPA), said in a news release.

The union filed for the National Mediation Board (NMB) to oversee contract talks in November after negotiations had dragged on for more than three years. The latest round of talks began in February.

You have no idea about what you are suggesting and what you are talking about.

Put it to you this way. I live 5 miles from FLL. If I heard that your group was planning a protest against the company, I would gladly come out and hold up a sign in support for you. I just hope you'd welcome me?

I would welcome you as would AMFA. Just like we did when other airline, auto, railway, truckers ect.., all showed up to walk with the  NWA members during their strike.
