"Our union members don’t seeming willing or able to take personal responsibility on themselves to actually do the major things that union members need to do in order to secure a better contract"

WE sure are doing a major thing as union members. WE ARE TELLING UNCLE AL and his side kick RANDY . WE are DONE playing

tit for tat. and the offer is substandard. so if you want to join our fight . you know what you have to do

"Secondly, if persons holding one position are allowed to run for other positions while retaining their existing position, then if their candidacies were successful, vacancies would be created in their original positions, thereby forcing the DL into another costly election."

geez this must be just a UA thing cause ALL of US agcs were appointed by RANDY .. NO ELECTION . "just do what I tell ya

and I will reward you with an agc"

the district is really stretching on this ......

DF,

One question for you. Why would we want to be stuck with a concessionary, BK T/A, untill 2011, when our UA brothers and sisters CBA is ammendable on the same date as ours? Wouldn't we have "strength in numbers" for traditional bargaining then. Wouldn't that be the "Time To Fight"? With those kind of numbers you would think so. Fleet will not hold up any merger BTW. So quit making it sound as if it will be our fault it a "merger" does not happen. IT WILL HAPPEN. The only question is when they announce it. My timeline goes like this. If we vote yes to this concessionary POS, the "merger" will be announced around May 15th or so. If we vote NO on this POS T/A, then a merger announcement will be announced around the 1st week of June or so. Remember this post folks. To see if my "timeline" proves accurate or not.

Roabilly… officially endorses, and is in full concurrence of the above post!

Now Mr. Farce…What is your input?..

Wanna bet some BBQ plates with us?

Accordin’ to several financial publications, includin’ USA Today… insiders have indicated that the UA/US Merger will be consummated with ahh stock exchange.

Speculation is… that UA will be the Dominate Carrier, or Successor.

Hmmm… this whole remove the COC trick…abracadabra... post negations it …
â€poofâ€â€¦ disappears, has been prematurely exposed!

Hemenway should lose his position over this, he waited too long to fool us!

Don’t Drink tha… Fool-Aid… Vote NO on this MO-FO !

P.S. Mr. Farce... are you also on this "Fool US" bandwagon?
If so ...how much does it pay ?

Bottom line, if this POS contract was worth the paper it's written on
the agc's would be working under it. TB, tie in the agc's copensation with the ramp contract.
You won't because you know they wouldn't work under it.

I can't wait till june, cheap suites sionora day, and then the belly warmer may need a new sugar daddy,
with a new iam contract, i may just qualify.

TB, your lucky your not in an elected position or you'd be on the way out also.
VOTE NO AND SAY HELLO TO FRANKIE O

OK, I've got a question that I'm dying to know the answer to now. If a seated member vacates a position by being elected, what's the difference if the seat is vacated to run? There's still an empty seat. AND AN ELECTION, NOT AN APPOINTMENT!

Shheewwttt.... that's ahh easy one Grad...

Ain't yahh never heard of tha "Good ole Boys" Club ?

It's not that easy. Ideally, transitioning a group into the surviving contract would be the chosen path. However, this option was not available due to the concessions and job losses that our west members would suffer. Only by opening up the east agreement and increasing wages did we have the ability to transition the west.

If this contract is voted down, we'll go back to the table and start all over again but we can't force your company back to the table.

More importantly, it is critical to the survival of your company that you ratify your agreement. I have been upfront with you with my anticipation of a merger and now with all the media reports it is upon you. Now is not the time to pound your chest, you will be much stronger when you position yourself for traditional bargaining in 2011.
tb,
IT'S NOT CALLED CHEST POUNDING,it's called we want a raise with dignity, not one time have
I heard the word COLA, Dude you live the high life and the members pay for it. Service our contracts
with an aggresive anti company way instead of we have to get along. Look at the UAW, UMW, USWA,
DID THEY PLAY KISS ASS TO GET THE CONTRACTS THIER MEMBERS DESERVED?
Get a grip with reality, USAir is financally sound, stop being a sheep. Work for your pay,
Look at what's happening to cheap suites, a guy gives up 100,000 a year job
just to run against him because he knows he's going to unseat him.
TB, you have lost your self respect!

jen,
"It will only seem alright after first raise before they stick it to us 1/1/09 conveniently when you get the other half of your raise."

been there done that. You are dead on . a month from now people will be b@Tching about where did this come from . No one told

me about that. and OH yes YOUR DUES WILL BE GOING UP NEXT YEAR. Don't believe me . thats fine. but PLEEEEEEEEASE .

don't come crying in 09 about WHY DID MY DUES GO UP THIS IS B**lsh*T ..........
Hey O-man,
Thats exactly what I was talking about, they prey on the "beat down need a raise west", and see the $ amounts and just cause some people recommend to take it, last resort not gonna be getting any better than this. People are willing to jump on it! I just wish all the facts were actually put out not just the amended issues! They are not sh*t. compared to how dearly a yes vote would cost the west for those that would still have their jobs! (insert merger) Oh Honey, I would not be comin cryin! But ya could probly hear the yellin from everyone else from there when '09 hits the fan. We need to kick this pos t/a back, too many people do not get it out here! If we end up in this pos t/a scenario it wont be because of my vote! Oh Hell No!!!

Ms. Jen...

You startin' tahh sound like one ahh us EAST HARDLINERS!

You runnin' fer AGC er what ?

in this T/A that 60 day rule is not eliminated. It goes to show the company dont want any of the previous employees back from the original 60 day and it also gives the HP employees a short notice to either vacate their small outback stations or fall into that 60 day rule and thats it. There is absolutely no excuse for the 60 day rule to be in there. The only reason it was ratified was because PVD and BDL were added to class one cities to get that contract thru. if it werent for that things might have been different then

I apologize,

Hey brothers and sisters across the system, I just found out today that we will have our TA vote in our breakroom. Even though I am a yes for reasons stated earlier it disturbs me that PHX is being catered to in this manner. I believe each and every station should have the same right to cast a vote May 8th in their breakrooms.

Respectfully,

P. REZ

How do we make sure every station has this same opportunity as PHX.
Does each city have to fight for this, why is it not just offered.
All cities need to get their 411
