Ok guys....this is the last and only time I am going to say this....

I do not work for the union, I never even voted to have a union back in '98 ....I came from Piedmont and we never NEEDED a union....

I am a ramprat and have been for longer than most of you on this board. Period.

Joe, buddy you need to get over the doubletime debate.
GF
Sorry my friend I can not just get over it. The way the double time clause is written everyone will be very hard pressed to actually

receive any double time. The re-vamping of the over time equalization insures that any double time will be far and few between. There

are quite a few people who were thrilled when they thought double time was back but when the reality of it sunk in they realized

that more than likely it would take luck to actually get it.

If I am not mistaken were we not already IAM in '98. You feeling a little dyslexic this evening?

Hey here is a weblink with copies of letters about Rich Delaney resignation and acceptance to be a candidate for President of District 141 be sure to pass it around

"As i told you time and time again , while you may rush off to do foolhardy things like striking when the bottom of the us ecomony has dropped out , I WILL NOT ... if you think i'm going to jepordize my job so you can grasp at straws then your sadly mistaken ...

fish out of water . I tell ya. fip flop flip flop. what happened to that we are woman Oops sorry we are union speech you gave

a few pages back.

If I was that ice cream store owner and decided while I was losing money to give myself a 200 % bonus . I would be worried about

what my employees put in the ice cream.

Joe,
I grant you the doubletime is not what is used to be. However, sometimes if I work a double and there are late flights (which are common) I can easily go over 16 hours in a day. I don't work doubles often but sometimes I do. As far as IAM in 98....I thought that was the year we voted them in, but it was around then. Again I voted no.

mlr,
"sounds like the same 4 year old who is so pleased with himself when he's posted at the top of the page......"

Da*n I'm busted great detective work MR AGC.......

"I feel obligated to at least TRY and stop you guys from shooting yourselves in the foot again …. You folks were off on the moon for the last TA , I just don’t want to be looking back in 2010 and be telling you poor devils that “I told you so “ …"

don't worry you won't be around in 2010 unless your like 700 and move on to baking twinkies and decides to stay in touch.

Am I flip flopping or am I current with the times … that’s something a lot of you senior east people need to ask yourselves … you know how the industry has changed , if you don’t change with it you get left behind …

There’s more and more doubt as this TA grows closer , will we merge with united ? Or will we not , and if we don’t ,your stuck for quite sometime with what ya got ….

Funny thing is , with any up coming merger I’d think you guys would be like rats trying to flee a sinking ship in escaping from your 60 day clause … if I recall what I’ve heard right , the old us airways was pretty freaking brutal in using the clause … here in PHX we had us airways people , about a month before the merger took place us airways gave them the AX … at least that’s what I’ve heard …

Just remember east guys , once the 60 day rule affects you , your pretty much gone for good … a sad , but true statement … ask the guys hit by it , see what they say … and I know they’ll beg us too look out for them , to fight to bring them back , but we all know no one’s going to do it ..

That could be you .

Does this mean you'll be supporting the New Direction Team?
As far as union politics go I’m only loyal to Ron Roth , I have no real opinion or one on one with any of the candidates except for Chris L and while I think he’s a good guy , I’m totally impressed with the work Ron has done for our union over the years ..

I do expect the new direction team to state their views on this proposed contract , I don’t care if they do it individually or as a group but I will NOT let the people who are suppose to be running to lead us COP OUT on one of the most important issues to affect fleet , they had all each and every one of them have an opinion or a stance on this TA , otherwise why the hell are we thinking about paying them 100 K a year if they can’t analyze a contract !

Now I know the new direction team comes on here , I haven’t heard what your stance is , please post it .

well lets see with 24 yrs I think I am qualified to say I know the industry . I have been through 3 mergers 2 wars 9-11

and now dealing with a management team that wants to start a new airline from an existing one and they couldn't seem to pull

it off so they want to jump in and merge so they can jump out with there parachutes . lets see I have seen that done to. my 2 other

management teams . As far as the 60 day rule thing. I'm not worried about it. worked in field stations and 3 hubs so If I have

to move to PHX where the juniority is so be it. 24 yrs will keep me around for a while . How bout you. As far as being a rat

you might want to look in the mirror . cause you run through the maze and every time you see a piece of cheese your mind

changes........Like I said to you before . stay on one side of the fence. quit with the I am Norma Rae speech and then

feel compassion for the company . It's really gotten old.

"I do expect the new direction team to state their views on this proposed contract "

the new direction is made up of over 3/4 UA people. they don't know our t/a and its not there fight yet...

so they are staying out of it. I do know the US folks on the team aren't A** kissers and will not stand for this

type of neg from the company. YOU know why THEY don't OWE US or UA anything ...THEY OWE THE MEMBERSHIP.

Not sure if MKE is still on this list, as of now UA only has RJ's flying out of MKE I know that they are worked by Air Wisconsin people.

Air Wisconsin operates as a US Airways express carrier but their flights to my city are worked by Our US Airways brothers and sisters but UA which is being served by Skywest is being worked by Air Wisconsin employees are you as confused as I??

Not sure what happened to MKE. Must have lost mainline metal, Can't keep up with everything going rj's. There is a minimum number of mainline daily departures (something like 38) before UA ramp services the station. Some cities were grandfathered in. At any rate, US looks pretty safe in MKE (as safe as anything in this industry)

Just to clear it up I am not management I have less than 2 years with the company and I am struggling to make it day by day I know this TA is a POS I knew it right from when I read it and I know almost everyone on here has more seniority than I do and I hate that they even put this POS TA in front of us and if we merge I will be one of the first to be standing in the unemployment line. I would love to make more money and trust me I am going to vote NO and I am going to tell everyone else that I know to do the same.

When the time comes to vote and you vote yes, don't be afraid to admit that you were wrong when you find out that you were lied to. Anyone that has ten years or less is facing being layed off or displaced to part time, or having to move to keep there job. Believe me, I've been through it. That is why DOH seniority is so important. It is the only thing that can possibly keep you in your home city in the event of a merger. If we do merge with ua, you are surely going to cry the blues when you see that you are layed off or displaced while there are still people working in your city with less seniority then you have. But if you are so sure a yes vote is going to help your situation, by all means vote yes. Just remember that the raise you are promised is not valid when you are in the unemployment line.

Rogue

P.S. Voting NO until DOH is in the t/a.
