IAM Constitution.

700,
O-man questioned you about the place of voting and where it originated. You responded that it was in the IAM Constitution. Do you recall which section or which page the reference can be found? I ask because I can not reference it anywhere?

You may end up reading you own posts
some day and losing it completely. Thanks BF

I have worked for this airline for a long time and if I haven't lost it completely yet I don't think I'm gonna....

BF....read what you want into my posts....I could give a sh$t what you think....

My posts are just a common sense approach to view this T/A....and I feel appeal to a lot of ppl that aren't on the board. I'm not going to change the hardliners minds but I will offer my view when I want to. Your welcome, Giantfan

I do not work for the union, I never even voted to have a union back in '98 ....I came from Piedmont and we never NEEDED a union....

I am a ramprat and have been for longer than most of you on this board. Period.

You mean 89' don't you ? US took over operations at Piedmont and soon after a judge
ordered a vote take place to see if the Teamsters should stay. The vote took place and
you voted them out and we immediately recieved pay cuts, benifits were slashed along
with the FT/PT ratio and many other cuts.

Do you still have the quarter Ed Colodny sent you? because the rates for local calls is now at
least .50cents, and looks like it may continue to rise. We must think of the future phone rates so
don't think of asking for another quarter.(I know you like to think of the economy)

You are a company man or woman and not a union brother or sister, you've made that clear.
Notice in a union your family but in a company your a gender.

And ask yourselves why is PHX going to vote at the airport is it because the IAM (canale) feels
a YES vote is there and need every one they can get.

bob

**if anyone knows how to scan and post I still have the ''guarantee'' from Colodny. I just don't
know how to scan and post. (pm me through this site.)

We're into this TA which will result in going East contract till 2009(with the CIC) or going for this TA until 2011 and three years till sorted out.

The CIC will be the only constintuancy or representation for fleet employees that can challenge management resulting in perhaps a new Arbitration deciding the results for workers at a NEW merger with what ever partner.

No one has cast the difference the CIC can make. It most likely is the Sticking Point for union members to have their voice before management decides for them.

No I mean 98 DB......oops I mean BD

When we voted in the IAM....which I voted no for....

FYI, I'm not sure if this has anything to do with your COC talk, but thought I'd pass it to you. Most ramp functions at line stations fall under the PCE agreement (LAS, PHX) The following are classified ramp stations for UA. I think the ramp contract calls for mandatory ramp to work the ramp with a set number of departures. You'd have to check with a ramp person. But currently these are the classified UA ramp cities. Hope this helps and doesn't confuse.

Baltimore, Washington, D.C., Detroit, Milwaukee,
Boston, Newark, Philadelphia, Buffalo, John F. Kennedy International Airport,
LaGuardia, Pittsburgh, Cleveland, Dulles, Chicago, Omaha, Denver, Los Angeles,
Honolulu, Atlanta, Salt Lake City, Minneapolis, San Diego, Sacramento, San
Francisco, Portland, Seattle, Tampa, Fort Lauderdale and Orlando.

Not sure if MKE is still on this list, as of now UA only has RJ's flying out of MKE I know that they are worked by Air Wisconsin people.

Air Wisconsin operates as a US Airways express carrier but their flights to my city are worked by Our US Airways brothers and sisters but UA which is being served by Skywest is being worked by Air Wisconsin employees are you as confused as I??

Tim....because it will give those stations 3 more years of protection. God....did I hit a nerve with you or what??????

muircross....let me cry myself to sleep tonight b/c I lost your credibility. NEVER HEARD OF HIM TIL LAST YEAR!!! SORRY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Tim......I gotta hand it to ya.....you got your "FOLLOWERS"!
Giantfan, 3 more years of protection before the 'drop dead' language???? Do you know something we don't? Right now those 22 stations have the best scope protection in the entire industry, so why should they vote yes for a 'suicide contract' that puts them on the witch's '3 year hour glass'?

You must not be in one of those stations.

To those who are afraid of West, getting "Farced" (Thats fer you DF) into East !
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

As far as Foldin’… West intah East…

Who cares? ... Under this scenario…West gets a raise, per the current East agreement.

Both groups retain COC…we merge with UA…we negotiate another Transition Agreement with UA !

What is tha big deal ?… Grow Sum... Don't be skeered!

Cornhole’e…go fer it !
At this point in time I think the company would nix it. At least that's what
MS alluded to in SAN. I agree to the thinking that the company wanted it
early on but now they don't want it. I could be wrong but anyway it wouldn't
hurt me but It could bad for the other 21 west stations.

It would take at least a year for those stations to be out sourced, and my guess
would be the Negotiations would not conclude until after they went.

This is not what I started to talk about but I just started to think. Canale
knows all these permutations. Is there anybody out there that won't at
least admit that Canale is walking a fine line to in regard to a conflict of interests
here?

When we voted in the IAM....which I voted no for....

Got that !! In your not a union person but we did have a vote in or around 89'.
You said you have 30 years so you were there to vote then also, right my
senior co-worker ? That was only 20 years ago, you've been here 10 years
already. I can guess, if you were indeed here then, you voted NO also.

My point… exactly my man!

Thanx !

DB,
If my memory serves me right we didn't have a vote in '89 but rather a card signing campaign to see if we wanted to keep the teamsters in. I believe, they were only at 4 USAir stns. Again...I was Piedmont but I think I'm right. However, the teamsters did not get enough of the employees to sign a card so they were tossed. I believe they needed 35% but I could be wrong on that percentage. And no I did not sign a card for the teamsters.

District Officer Update: Canale forces Delaney out of Job

Here are some links I provided on my own webpage just so you folks would have the information to read for yourselves. Canale is Canale and we are coming for him.....soon enough.

Canale/Payne letter
Delaney response 1 Delaney response 2

I must say its refreshing to see a real leader Delaney stand up to a tyrant like Canale. I will enjoy voting this June to see Canale and his
gang shown the door.

Rich if you read this

Thank You!

OK,

We have 2 more folks facing time off now--anyone else?
