Yes, Delle is running unoppsed, as is the case with most of the "candidates" at TWU Conventions. Difference is that the members can recall Delle, the Members can not recall or even vote for International officers. If you cant see the difference then you have a problem.Nightwatch said:Point is once again Delle runs unopposed, such a sweet deal, a pure demonstration of democracy. I hear Castro is starting to get envious. You AMFA guys are alright in my book, holy moly.
Comparing Delle to Castro is a poor example.
A better comparasion is comparing Hall to Stalin.
Like Stalin, Hall eliminates potential rivals through terminations, exiling and threats.
Hall retains power through a structure that is similar to the politburo where politburo members are bound to "the party" (International) and not the people they represent( as evidenced by my earlier post where the International considered my assertion that as an elected representative of the members, their interests come before those of the Internationalas justification for removal from office) .
His actions have landed the TWU in court over and over again.
Like Stalin who promoted himself as a paternatilistic benifactor of the proletatiat Hall promotes himself as a champion of workers rights and democracy. Both of these leaders lied to the people. Hall removes officers and lies to the members claiming that he was not behind their removal, he tells one member one thing and another something else such as his reply to TWU Local 562 member Mike Allen and his reply to a question by Local 501 member John Kennedy. Just as Stalin always tried to hide his vindictive paranoid evilness from the Soviet people Sonny Hall also promtes a false image of a benoevolent democratic leader to his members. Stalin had Pravda, Hall has the TWU Express.
Would you like me to go on? Would you care to counter anything written so far?
