It might not be a hub, but it is a state capitol, and there have been arguments made in the past for capitol to capitol exceptions.

All of which have been within-perimter excemptions that are designed for service on:

1) Low fare carriers

OR

2) Small markets within the perimeter that lack service (such as state capitals like Jackson, Miss. and Lexington, KY).

And all of which are simply pork-routes designed to help US Airways and Delta hoard slots at DCA...

Roswell? WOW, there must have been Martians after all. I guess they are all grown up and can travel now! AA must be after their technology!

I assume that ROW is being added to accomodate the ferry crews as they fly super80s to storage/retirement. Might as well initiate Eagle service to bring them back to DFW. 😀

Wow, I guess we all have the same recurrent dream!

ROW is also the closest airport to where they're doing the armed flight deck officer training. If they're doing air marshalls in the same place, there might be a somewhat lucrative business there.

Like we have to worry about competition on DFW-LGA. If we added another 5 flights/day on that route, I think they would still be oversold.

NW is getting ready for the merge with AA for asian routes. so this what it will be.

If we merge with another airline, NW would be a jewel to obtain. I just hope the NW unions stand their ground, and make sure they aren't stapled to the bottom of anyone's seniority list.

Revenue dilution is a more suitable concern.

They are also upgrading their existing LGA-MSP service to all 757's.

If they wanted to piss us off JFK-LAX would have been a better idea. 😉
