VICTORY--IAM

So.....what's your point?
Not just history but ancient history. The days of Bill Franke. Yes, the company was leaving out scheduled maintenance and other items as well as reducing its maintenance work force to an illegal level. :)
yes , something that happens with your type of air carrier in the early years....jip all kinda stuff, get em to the gate....LCC...

Bottom Line is the wrech twister on the floor will see little difference now or anytime soon regardless of IAM or IBT representation. It's like the waring on a stock prospectus. Past performance is not a guarantee of future results.

The future is what is the concern at this point. You are correct that "past performance is not a guarantee of future results". All anyone can do is use the "history" of the local representation to make an informed decision. You could apply that statement to many things in life.:)

The only reason HP brought you all back was not to pay the massive fine by the FAA.
Now 7, it is time for you to prove it...
Where did it say in the following faa reports you cite that the mechs were brought back, even as a condition of the fine being reduced????

What is that in front of you???

OMG it's the facts!!!!!!!!!

This wasn't because of the early years. It was an effort of Bill Franke to cut as much cost as possible so he could line his pockets, which he did, with the appoval of the board. He almost destroyed the airline. Our public image was in a very sad state when he was here. We had a party when he left.....he wasn't invited. I should add that this was duing our BK years.:)

if i remember correctly......the likes of AWA,JetBlue and other LCC's came in with no pension plans, minimum fleet sizes and such and basically screwed up the whole industry driving the legacy's into BK...
so now you tout your superior contract that has caused so much misery to the likes of aviation labor? ;)

part of that may be right, but me not being an economy major, I digress, on the other hand when HP started it was just to be a regional airline, slowly expand but more or less stay small, only wanting a small piece of the pie.

ROFLMFAO.....Yes dell.........I admit it......it was AWA's fault that US Airways went into BK several times. It was AWA that caused the "firing" of those unfortunate IAM members. Please forgive us dell.....we have sinned. Father dell it has been a long time since my last confession...... :)

I'll have what he is having.

The real problem is that the management at US, United, NW, and the other legacy carriers did not take steps to save back when SW and AWA started to grow. They decided to ignore and gave big pay raises to the work groups and them selves. I
It was great to make 30+ an hr but looking back we all would be happy with a little less then and have more now. Cannot blame a contract that when it first came about we turned up are noses at.
Greed is a powerful thing.

WELL bone head lets give the under payed and under educated time to f..mess up your aircraft.
Just do a good job on them part numbers. PARTS BOY

I don't have a chip on my shoulder just telling it like I see it. I am not a parts boy and never was.
I have worked on both sides of the fence and can say I know better than most how it works on both sides.
