This has gone far enough. After reading the majority of the posts on this thread, I'd have to edit or delete MOST of them -- your behavior is out of line and the personal attacks/snipes and insults are an embarrassment to you and your profession.

This is a one time warning. Either get back on topic of the issues (NOT the posters), and observe the rules of the board, or this thread will be locked and NO discussion of this dispute will be permitted for the rest of the normal cycle of this thread--and suspensions will follow.

What IS pathetic is some of the rantings and venom expressed by alleged adult professionals toward fellow members of the profession.

No more warnings---either stay on topic and lay off each other, or there will be no thread.

We held our first meeting for members in good standing earlier this month, and we will soon be back in Phoenix and/or Las Vegas to hold additional meetings.


2 months later BXXXX stepped up and took on the Rep position.

My name is BXXX and I am an Airbus Captain based in Phoenix... early last week, I contacted USAPA’s Interim President, Steve Bxxxxx , to ask to be appointed as the interim PHX Domicile Chairman.

"It is clear that USAPA is a union interested only on the careers and well-being of its East members.

A few days ago, one of our East pilots made the following analogy: “This is becoming a Palestinian Israeli scenario.â€￾ I wish I could disagree with him.

I may not have all the answers on how to move forward, but I am certain that what we are doing is not working.

The group of pilots sitting in this room today is the only group that has the tools to inspire change and make this airline a better place.

Mesa pilots are an easy target. You are cheap and shallow if you insist on picking on what you perceive to be the weaker sister. But then that is exactly what the east's MO is. If you personally are not willing to go physically, financially, or otherwise help them then you have no room for comment regarding their plight.

Sure there is. It's just not what you or I thought it would be. Here's a hint: It never will be again. Blame whom ever or what ever you want but in the end it's gone. Adapt or quit.


Nic you're just another in a long line of east/USAPA supporters that have come here to spew their flavor of cool-aid. The common character trait is that you start by attacking the points in the debate. Then when you find you can no longer debate the issues you move to character assassination... Keep it coming though. 'Cause in the end it will be the Nic list.

Just couldn't wait for that slam, could ya? Well, you should have thought this one through as you're missing what Marcio is saying by a country mile. The issue is not whether there is a PHX rep. That should have been obvious to you, but apparantly you missed it. What Marcio is talking about is the fact that there has been no USAPA meetings held in a West domicile other than local council meetings; but local council meetings don't count because where else would they be held? The soon to be extinct USAPa has been in operation for nearly two years since the back of the van days outside of Herndon and the only time anyone who runs USAPa has set foot in either Phoenix or Vegas was the last minute, pre-election, check the box visit prior to certification. Ooops, I fogot - there were a number of USAPs parading through Phoenix in late April and early May, but there sure as heck wasn't any meet and greet in the Phoenix pilot lounge! No, there were your fellas walking into court, wearing their costumes with striped sleeves as if the uniform means something in the real world, and raising their right hands. That is, all except Bradford who was nowhere to be seen and hasn't been seen in Phoenix since the pre-election check the box stop. Why is he hiding?

Marcio did not make it clear what he was saying, but I'll give him a pass as English is his second or third language. I know he's fluent in Portuguese and my bet is that he's as comfortable in Spanish as he is in English. That's three languages to your . . . one?

Go to PHX crew room session and watch the one titled PHX flying. Very interesting what a west F/A has to say about the pilots she flies with, and their actions.

Watched the video and I agree with what both the F/A and Doug have to say about the issue. There are West pilots who might be antagonistic, however, in the end as Doug says, you and I are "exceptionally professional" and will overcome our disagreements once there is some resolution.

One note however, West F/As benefit from seperate ops, and this may just be someones way of encouraging continued seperate ops.
