' If you contact us, we will work with you. Everyone has already had plenty of notice. Although not our desire, it is not unlikely that a termination may actually occur … termination for cause. Don’t let it be you. There is no gaming the system as in the previous CBA. It’s all letters and phone calls. No jetway visits. Your employment will simply cease to exist. Stop skating and join us.'[/i]

Yeah right, what ALPA pilot ever got fired for not paying dues. Parker will never allow it.

Be cautious. Parker in the end will do what is in the best interest of the company(ie shareholders). If another merger starts in the works and he feels it will move the union toward an end(ie combined group) he'll do it. He may not want to, but his management beliefs will allow it. The Chief Pilot's office which is a buffer between us and some of the management team is already showing stress cracks. They can only do so much and they have to pick their battles.

That would be separate ops not a merger.

There is no compromise. Let me say that again. THERE IS NO COMPROMISE.

The freight train is running down the tracks. It is unstoppable.

1) Seperate ops does seem the current situation.

2) OK then. Why all the continued ranting?

3) Previously covered by another west poster = "(Whoo whoo!, chugga chugga, whoo whoo!)"

PS: What is it with the toy trains?

I can't say as to how that will play out, other than to note that; if you think this "management" cares even the slightest tiny bit about you or anyone in the employee sector...well...you might want to rethink that a bit. If it was at all possible for them to personally pocket a dime from shoveling all the employees into an open pit...they'd do it in a heart beat, if ANY potential benefit to themselves was at all possible.

If you believe yourself, or any small segment to be operationally indispensable....guess again there as well.

Personally; I hope no one gets fired over any of this.

I'll give the answers a shot:

1) True
2) People get anrgry and write before they think
3) The train barreling down the tracks example worries me. What if both of the engineers are standing there screaming at one another and failing to see the tracks are out?

Bonus question: Because trains like airplanes are cool.

3) Agreed.

"Bonus question: Because trains like airplanes are cool." This; I can understand and fully agree with.

So much for our sides having absolutely no ability to share views and compromise..at least on some levels

How is this any different than USAPA's attitude toward the West?

So now;..well..let me see if I have this latest amazing epihany correctly assessed = management and the union are on the same philosophical page? Words simply fail me trader.....

I have to say that I'm growing weary of all the Whining from the E190 group. You knew the pay was going to suck when you accepted recall. If you can't afford to live on it...quit. Your Fake Union has decided that they have ZERO interest in helping you make any significant gains in any measurable future time frame as well. Many of you voted for the fake union so again, your problem. If you don't like the direction your fake union is dragging you in then perhaps you could contact your fake rep and let them know. USAPA shares the same level of concern for the E190 FO as they do for the ENTIRE west group...Less than Zero. I'm as sympathetic to the E190 FO plight as I am of those who bought houses they could never have afforded and are now BK. What happened to personal responsibility?

Did you know that a Burger King manager Makes well over 40k a year? I don't think a 4 year degree is required either. Also, I don't think you need 10 years of service to get the position. I could be wrong.

1. Yes it is the current situation. Does anyone really believe that separate ops is sustainable indefinitely?
If so, did you also believe that industry plus 1% would last forever? This is a merger, by definition we will be merged at some point.

2. No ranting. REPETITION!!! That is sometimes the only way slow learners can figure it out. Repetition. It seems that east pilots are having trouble understanding that there is no compromise no ability to comprimise. It is the east pilots that keep bringing it up. Compromise is over. Compromise was over when Nicoalu ruled, compromise was over when usapa forced single carrier, compromise is over when Judge Wake issues his final injunction.

Clear enough or do I need to repeat it again?

3. Chugga, chugga!!! Train keeps rolling down the tracks. Destination, inevitability.

ps. You can think of it as a toy. But the "toy" has serious ramifications.

Metro,

It is my understanding that there are former east pilots who had accepted recall to group II A/C, after bypassing the E190, which was within their recall rights, to only later be displaced to the 190. Do not know for sure if that is the case, but that is the claim by some posters on this thread.

Here is the hypothetical scenario. There is some furloughed east pilot making 47k with a matching 401k working as a Burger King manager. Merger happens, company calls and says "would you like to return and fly the E190". This individual says "no I will stick with the smell of fry grease over jet fuel". A short time later the company calls and says, "we have your A320 seat, and if you do not want to return we are going to strike your name from the seniority list." The pilot then decides to ditch the hairnet and paper hat and return for the better income. The Nic comes out, the east implodes, the economy tanks and this pilot is now in an E190 F/O seat, the very place they bypassed in the first round.

Precisely correct, Nic4us.

For Metro...thanks for the lack of caring...right back at you. I know of only (1) ONE FUR pilot who voluntarily accepted the E9 recall.

ONE.

Everyone else passed until they were offered a group 2 narrowbody slot (oh, and it was their last recall offer too...since the company needed to hire off the street for the 190)

Again, thanks for absolutely nothing Metroyet...believe me, from us on the east...we'll remember your attitude.

And thanks for sharing the truth Nic4us.

Keep pounding that chest. I am so impressed.

If you were smart, you'd change your tone.

It is in your best interests to try to repair the damage and ill-will that you are complicit in generating with the east...if you EVER want any hope of a contract that gives you your Nic.

If you were smart.

We'll see.
