US Pilots Labor Discussion

I understand SEEHAM TEAM SIX had a dog. Leonidas captured him and making him talk. We are not waterboarding because Obama thinks it's cruel. We are withholding treats.

Please keep the dog. We tried to make him work. All he did was drink our beer, and hump our legs. He hung out with cats way too much. Make sure it is the same one we think it is. His name collar says DOUG.

What a POS you are, As much as I can't agree with the west I bet their captains would take care of the of their crew. You are the most hated pilot at this airline even more so now, how can you even come to work knowing that, wait a minute you just don't care and it shows.

Are you east DOH pilots just genetically weaker than the rest of the world? I understand mentally you have some trouble but physically too?

How is it that the east and west fly the same planes maintained by the same people but it is only the east crews that end up in the hospital? Passengers walk off the airplane just fine, the east crew goes to the hospital.

An east crew DH on west metal smells a fart in the back and goes to the hospital and the west crew flying the airplane goes to the hotel for their overnight.

Mentally and physically weak not a good combination. Good thing you guys are going to be gone soon. Both of you guys could pass out from the smell of the forward lav and kill everyone “on board”.

BTW how is that “on board” working for you? Not sure it is cutting through the noise of the rest of east/usapa cacophony of crap. Management may not be hearing you. Did usapa run short of those cowardly yellow neck weights? I have not seen very many running around the system. Lack of support?

Were you born an ahole, or have you had to work at it all your life? Even though you are a leader in the field of stupid posts, this one takes the cake.

We don't fly the same aircraft. For example, you do not operate any, or at least many, CFM A320s, right? They aren't all maintained at the same place. I've never had this problem that I know of, but I would never say that no one else has. There have been pilots, F/As AND pax sent to the hospital. Part of the problem may be that some people feel their concerns are not answered, so they may be a afraid that they are not getting the whole story and are being on the conservative side. Any time there is an issue like this pop up, you hear more popping up behind it. In the past we had an issue with Boeing rain repellent. I asked a ground school instructor about it and he said, "There is a lot more out there to worry about than this". Shortly after they removed it from the aircraft. This is an industry issue, not a US east issue.

Ignoring a problem because it has happened on the east, where in your world it could not have been are real issue, is not the smartest way for you to operate. I hope you don't get burned by it.

No one should ever wholesale ignore a safety concern someone else has brought up, just as no one should "cry wolf".

And here is the true problem!! And why I am SAD. This very well may be a true safety concern, but instead of the pilots of US Airways rallying together to make sure that it is or isn't we are pointing fingers. I am an East pilot but make no mistake about it if a West pilot has a safety concern I am 100% behind you. Please, when it comes to our passengers' safety let's not make it a East / West thing. Okay?

And trust me, I know that it has been my union who has politicized "safety" and it makes me sick. Just because they have made a huge error doesn't mean my brothers & sisters (the pilots of US Airways West & East) need too. When it comes to safety we are all red blooded! That simple!

I would say that some in the union have politicized it, but I don't think all have. As for the rest of your post I whole heartily agree. Safety is sacred and neither the company or it's pilots should do anything to reduce the margins, and I believe that is what this argument is about, the margins. I don't think anyone says that this is an unsafe airline, it is not. What they are trying to say is that a wall has gone up between management and the pilots and it is very hard to get the message across that wall. It didn't used to be that way and I don't know who is responsible, but it needs to change and we need to go back to a free flow exchange of ideas. The line pilots are the eyes and ears of this operation and the management team needs to LISTEN!

This should not be an east-west, pilot vs. management issue.

Absolutely, management has taken the division between the pilots and used it to their advantage; without giving any thought to how that restricts/interferes with safety. And I blame, Paul Morel for allowing that to happen. Hell, he is the VP of Safety. But, what our union has done is take that short sidedness of the company (I am so tired of dealing with the Parker's & Kirby's of this company) and used it to their benefit. WE ALL NEED TO STOP USING SAFETY AS A BARGAINING CHIP!!! (no pun intended)

http://money.msn.com/business-news/article.aspx?feed=AP&date=20110520&id=13661187 OUCH! Jim this probably is not factual so don't let me and the B SWAN get your dentures out of alignment,
Yeah, I saw that. It was in my aviation headlines on my home page and our friend CM started a thread about it. I haven't bothered to look at the other airlines' ratings, but I suspect that everyone except WN is in about the same range. At least the "stable" outlook means that Fitch doesn't expect to downgrade the ratings in the near future (either 6 or 12 months I think).

The worst rated of the debt Fitch looked at is the senior unsecured convertible notes, which is only about $179 million - the company has the cash to pay them off in a worst case. Being convertible, they should also be able to be exchanged for stock at times or upon events specified in the loan document.

Does this sound familiar??? The united pilots are not having much luck and time is a wasting for them.

united airlines pilot alpa negotiating commitee latest update

"" Company Negotiating In Public? Report It

Both the CAL and UAL MECs continue to receive reports that management is once again attempting to lower pilot expectations or otherwise influence the outcome of the JCBA. In the crewrooms, training centers and in our cockpits, some Chief Pilots, Assistant Chief Pilots and other management types are claiming to “tell it like it is” in what we know is a thinly veiled management ploy to negotiate in public. Whether Jeff Smisek states to the media that we will never be paid like we were in 2000 or mid-level management minions try to sway our pilots in the workplace, we recognize negotiating in public for what it is. It was counterproductive in 1985 and it is counterproductive today and contrary to mediated negotiations.

We need your help. If you encounter this type of behavior at any time, please report it. The UAL and CAL MECs have set up a dedicated e-mail address for these reports: [email protected]. Please include the following information: date, time, class or location, the name of the person spreading the information and specifics regarding what was said. More information is better.""

May 20, 2011 united pilots progress

It is so interesting and haunting how the management of Usairways and united are following the same playbook.

OK Pi. I stopped when asked by the mods. Your 3 posts in other threads have been reported - hope that alcohol induced haze was worth it.

Jim

You didn't apologize to the person you did it to: me. Do that and we're good or the mods can kick me off.

No alcohol involved. Just a frustration from a guy that once flew as your F/E and was accused of being a child molester-something that is lowest scum on earth.

Did you talk to your Mom about it? Dad? Preacher?

Just letting the world know about J.G.
