You West guys really can't put your arms around the meaning of a scab. Educate yourself, look at the list from yester-year and tone down the rhetoric.

I found an interesting exchange between East pilots concerning a recall effort started by a PHL based pilot. Does the reply from an East pilot meet your definition the meaning of this word? Maybe the rhetoric in your back yard needs to be toned down as well.

Extremist Pilot factions prevent US Airways pilots from moving forward!

My name is Ed Campbell, a PHL 76 pilot and I have started a recall of our current USAPA President, Mike Cleary and Vice-President Randy Mowrey.

First, let me once again state my beliefs and reasons for starting this recall effort:

•It is my judgment that the current holders of the Office of President and Vice- President are ineffective. Their conduct is unprofessional and their performance is lacking.
•I support the USAPA Constitution and By-Laws that predicates Date of Hire as its merger policy.
•USAPA’s right to negotiate seniority will ultimately be decided in the courtroom.
•A single, much improved, working agreement must be the goal of USAPA, regardless of how distasteful the parties engaged in that negotiation.
•It is proper that the Line Pilots judge the performance, conduct and effectiveness of the Officers who are supposed to serve them.
•President Cleary has poisoned a working relationship with management, who although are not the caliber that we would desire, never the less, must be dealt with constructively for our mutual advancement.
•President Cleary continues to crudely and myopically malign all west pilots, over a single issue.
Since the recall effort started just over 1 month ago (we have 120 days to collect petitions) we have received hundreds of signed petitions from line pilots who also support the recall effort. Ironically, we have also received emails from both EAST and WEST pilots who oppose the recall effort. We would like to share some of these mailings with you and a letter from Eric Ferguson, one of the leaders of the Leonidas group. His letter was posted on cactuspilot.com and forwarded to me. It has become clear that most of the US Airways pilots, the SILENT MAJORITY, are suffering as a result of two extreme factions. Below are the emails. Please read for yourselves how this recall attempt has mobilized these two factions.

I found something wrong with Nic the first time I read it, Dave is senior to Dean,and I will go to my grave thinking that was wrong.

If I could sit down with Mr. Nicolau, maybe he could explain it better to me. You will never do it. Your bias is clear and you have no credibility.

I haven't had time to pull out the parts of the Nic that seem to contradict each other. He seems to use pre-merger and post-merger as he sees fit. For example, he says that to agree with Brucia about the furloughed pilots would be using post-merger advancement, but he seems to use post-merger fleets and ratios, right? Where the east shrunk more than the west, yet Dean had 300 below him, but made him use his pre-merger status and stapled him. Page 23.

Do you agree with clear that PID was May2005?

Let me understand this. If you sat down with Nicolau and he could explain his logic to you. You might accept it? He took 35 pages to explain it to you. How about we arrange a town hall meeting with Nicolau and he could hold all of you east guys hands and tell you why.

You have had 4 years to pull out part of the award. I guess with flying 99 hours and 20 days vacation a year you might not have that kind of time.

Was there a trial that I do not know about? Accusation are not facts. We learned about that with usapa's false RICO case. DISMISSED WITH PREJUDICE! Accusation all over the place nothing to back it up. Two federal courts said usapa was wrong.

Nothing has been proven so you really should be saying "alleged". Just trying to help a brother out. Slander is a ####!
