HUH???Listen I'm not defending USAPA I'll be the first to admit that the inmates are running the asylum up there. I'm talking about moving forward. The west wants the Nic, the fastest way to the Nic is DFR II. The East wants a new contract with DOH, the fastest way to that is with the wests support for a new contract, and the leverage that it would allow the group as a whole to exert on the company, which again leads us to the west supporting but not voting for a new contract in order to facilitate DFR II.
If you aren't actively working to replace USAPA, then you are giving tacit approval to Cleary and USAPA's failure as a union.
The fastest way to a contract is for the NAC to go into Parker tomorrow and tell them they want LOA93 (or Kirby if they're feeling gutsy) and DOH and they want to revoke membership ratification (ask any PSA/Jetstream guy) and have the BPR vote the contract in for a 2 year term. They should have done this the second day USAPA was elected, but they were too busy high-fiving themselves and missed that opportunity. DOH would be codified and it would be up to AOL to untie the knot.
You have to ask why Cleary is doing nothing. If you have a male dog, a similar question can be answered with the phrase, "because he can". Nothing is stopping him from doing whatever he wants.
And DFR I or II or MCMXLVII doesn't implement the NIC, a vote does. But the F/O you and I pay $200K to won't let you vote because he knows that would be a referrendum on his tenure - a legacy of corruption and failure.
If you really want a unified pilot group, help replace USAPA with a bipartisan union lead by mature adults that can produce results, not rhetoric.
