US Pilots Labor Discussion

Please call your reps. The recent CLT update has shown that our reps have been put in notice! They have heard us loud and clear that this infighting must now stop. The PHL pilots are in the process of recalling their reps and it should be a fair warning to CLT as well. This merger is too important to all of us to let it slip away because of some boneheaded act of this union. Let them know enough is enough!

Yea, I already know that he's a Westie. You have Trader and we have LS. The way I see it, Trader is standing on principle and LS is still deciding if he has the principles to donate to the West legal cause. I've been donating since day one.

I'll quote LS from his post on April 21, 2012:
"Just on principle alone, I'll contribute to the west legal cause, however I'm not sweating the 'worst."

I don't know what causes this type of mental paralysis. Maybe a symptom of Stockholm Syndrome.
I should have typed, I'll continue to contribute to the west legal cause. Like you, I have been contributing since day one. We've been put under duress ever since the east walked out of JNC, and it only got worse with usapa. I don't like that, I will do what I can to stand up for our legal rights. But it's vastly more complex than simply labeling all easties as unethical and all westies as pure as the freshly fallen snow.

If many westies had woken up one day in the easts shoes, and were thrown in with a bunch of pilots with such lopsided doh and company dynamics, and we'd probably sound the same exact way. Pilots are all pretty much the same thing, everywhere.

Have you hit 8K to Leonidas yet?

DCA,

Roger that and did so early this Morn.

Did you miss or decide to pass on my DOH year question to you earlier today?
Mine = early 88

Nobody is getting recalled in PHL, just your usual "compass miscorrection" people stirring the pot again. It won't work.

Hmmm...that seemingly assumes some leverage on the part of the pilots here to "let it slip away". While I'm skeptical as to that being the case; precisely what would you have the union do to best secure/maximize the pilots' interests? That's not meant as anything other than an honest and open question.

Stop being idiots and work together to get the best deal. By idiots I mean quit trying to overreach and be smart with your positions, being able to back up things with facts. IOW don't demand DOH, use the retirement numbers as capital for a better integration, don't make stupid demands.

Close out section 22 with the NIC and draft a letter to Doug stating that USAPA is fully ready to work with Management to secure a merger with AA which is believed to be in the best interest of all parties.

Let me ask a question...which is the riskier strategy to the east pilots/USAPA of the three options below:

1. Oppose the merger in defiance of Management's clear intentions
2. Remaining parked in negotiations while waiting for Silver to make her ruling
3. Put the NIC+Kirby TA out for ratification before any merger is announced with AA so that east and west pilots can work together should merger discussions begin with APA

Fodase,

My answer is no on DOH demand or any other.
Recall the government set the new guidelines.
I would be acting like you did in recent years to expect/demand a heavy wide body c/o position when it was never within my reach pre merger. I am not greedy! Are you?

I will pass on rebuking rest of your post.

Out of the 3....2 seems most reasonable.

Option 4. Remain parked, enbrace the merger, engage the APA and work with THEM to solidify a solid agreement for the whole group. Explain how we don't want this one to be like the west one, lets have both sides be reasonable, and throw the west in there somewhere......
