, if your boy is not up to his JNC duties have him resign or ask your him if he would take a POLYGRAPH over his I need help with my JNC duties or follow up for your DFR 2 notetaking! Other than that you are no more than flies at a picnic,

I think our boy has already told the BPR in a recent letter that he won't be around much longer. Polygraph?? for what?? When he quits there will likely be no West rep at JNC anymore. Oh well, along with their other blatant disregard for West pilot's rights in the merger, usapa is not negotiating a joint contract in the method intended by the TA.

I like being a fly at a picnic, or should I say PICK-NIC. I get to hang out and eat watermellon, potato salad, and fried chicken, til usapa goes away like a drunk uncle... Yummee!!!

I think it was Ornstein and it went along the lines of "If I have a lot of applications on file it means I'm paying to much" - the theory being that having lots of people applying for a job with your airline means some of them would take the job for less.

I am very glad to hear the rumors of new hires in early 2011 and that we would then of course have the furloughs back by years end. However, I think you are confused about who brought what and where new hires would go.

I remember everyone talking about getting what we brought to the merger, but I do not recall West claims that we brought "PHX", that is a usapa thing.

Actually, what the West brought to the merger was a solvent airline with 142 aircraft, (we are down to fleet min around 122), plus a 40% equity stake in the new airline, plus the lionshare of the management team, plus somewhere over 10,000 employees, plus 1884 pilots (we are down to 1744, including numerous LOAs, 142 furloughed and the 6 out of seniority furloughs who went back east-look for them to be in play when we compute damages), plus we brought a few things the moderators do not like me discussing.

Any new hires would be placed where they are needed,(and both sides will need them), and if we are still under seperate ops the lucky ones will get to go West. They will get better pay on a 320 instead of a 190, plus better workrules. They would still have their system seniority relative on the Nic and furlough protection as a result of east attrition if West attrition does not outpace any PHX reductions.

Sawweee, you really do not have anything to offer new hires that will pit them against the West.
Sounds good in the short term. Long term they have a much better chance East. The massive attrition we have been talking about? It is real, and it is going to happen on the EAST faster than anyone thinks. So if they think they are on the 190 long, think twice. They are much better served on the east, with a larger base selection, and aircraft types available. I would advise them to consider the separate ops continuing for a very long time. That and the fact they should live where they want to.

Well, there we have it.
Yes we do, 2450 cage rattling posts from outside the cage.

FOLKS, HERE IS A PERFECT EXAMPLE OF HOW TO GET YOUR POSTING PRIVILEGES SUSPENDED OR REVOKED.

NO personal remarks comments insults or attacks are permitted.

Comment on the POSTS not the POSTERS.

Actually we are an integrity minded group, we believe in USAPA our UNION ......

There are not many pilots outside USAPA who agree with you.

I have flown with many East Captains who say it was wrong to renege on the arbitration.

Most tyrants believe in what they're doing, that doesn't make it right.

Having job fairs to hire pilots at a major airline is out of the ordinary….

I got my interview with US Airways in 2007 from attending a job fair. EVERY major airline was there except American. In total there were maybe 40 or so airlines represented there. In 2007 every few months there was huge job fair with every one of those airlines there.

Typical USAPA spin. Maybe an occasional fact check would be in order. The correct number would be 1467 on the US forum in the past 8 YEARS and 1 month. Or about 15 per month on average. As opposed to 862 in 9 months, or about 95 per month. But who's counting?

RATHER THAN DELETE THIS POST WHICH PERPETUATES A POST WHICH VIOLATES THE RULES I AM LEAVING IT UP WITH A WARNING-- DO NOT RESPOND TO PERSONAL COMMENTS OR ATTACKS.

THERE IS PLENTY OF ROOM IN THE CORN FIELD FOLKS.. .COMMENT ON THE POSTS AND NOT THE POSTERS.

I agree that the primary consideration for a new hire should be the domicile selection. If they can get based where they live, that would be the best. Next would be, if they are planning on commuting, what base would offer the easiest commute.

Outside of that, everything else is speculative. The duration of seperate ops will not last for an entire career.

Regardless of any of the factors you mention, my advice to a prospective new hire would be to take the first available class and therefore the highes seniority number. That will stay with them the rest of their career. Unless of course we merge with another airline and they try to pull a usapa on us.

So, on one hand you advocate for Date of Hire. Yet on the other, you promote 'newhires' making a career on the East side on an accelerated schedule at the expense of those hired before them.

Sounds like your "Integrity 101"classes taught by Sullenberger are really paying off. Remind me what he said under oath about Integrity.

Usapa = No Pay Raise for you, and you, and you, and you old man, forget it, and you, and you....

Situational integrity aka what I want defines integrity.

You got a job with USAirways as a pilot by attending a job fair in 2007?

One more direct and clear realization of the peril of separate ops and pay disparity. Parker is making the choice as to where to grow the airline, and you helped make that choice easy.

Yes we did hire for a very short time. I believe they were all on the 190. When oil went through the roof, they were furloughed. Some were furloughed while still in 190 school.
