Negotiations require leverage and give and take. What is USAPA willing to give (that the company actually wants) in order to get 1) DOH, 2) pay parity, 3) minimum fleet counts? You can ask till you're blue in the face with convulsive weeping but Management isn't going to sign off on a contract that is all give and no take.

Has USAPA even prioritized what they want and what they are willing to give in order to secure a TA that achieves the best possible results for all US pilots? Of course they haven't; I'm sure they just passed a DOH list along with a $750M annual increase in pilot wages and didn't offer anything in return. And what has that gotten them? ... The same offer that was on the table before USAPA came into being. USAPA is a real piece of work - worthless as goose grease on a pump handle.

Absolutely, but since the pilots and FA's fly together (and thus lay over at the same places) it's not a big deal. While I can't speak for every East pilot, I even made sure the FA's were able to get into and check their room before going to mine.

With all of the leverage usapa has and the skilled negotiators why can't usapa keep the fleet min?

Shocking! We have been told usapa is the master of the universe and can do anything and everything they want. usapa is the greatest union ever built. fleet mins should be easy.

BTW letters were sent out to all furlough pilots, letting them know that they are in the recall process, Hope we can get ALL of us back by the end of the year..............

Your vision is certainly not "clear". If Parker could park another 40-50 airplanes don't you think he would do it.
And which base do you think would see the most cuts......oh that's right....if you get NIC
you don't care where the cuts are!!! You are so blinded all you can think about is NIC NIC NIC NIC NIC NIC NIC NIC NIC NIC.

Desperation? Where do you see that?

Cage-rattling, definitely.

But desperation? That's quite a stretch in logic even for a westie.
Taunting the west regarding 'new' international flying is an act of desperation.

Does this sound familiar? 2 kids fighting and the loser in the argument retorts to "oh yeah, well my bike is newer than yours".

When the East cant win an argument on merit, their position turns to pointing out off topic subjects, or REDIRECTION/DEFLECTION. Or Desperation. Grasping for straws. Your choice.

Usapa = Sorry guys, we failed you.

USAPA's proposal doesn't lock you out, it locks the East out of Phoenix. From day 1 under the USAPA proposal you would be able exercise your DOH for those positions but line jumping and stomping feet is indicative the "mush head generations" three year old "but I want it and I want it right now" mental state.

You have a gross misunderstanding of usapa's proposal.

Luckily, we already have a seniority solution that makes that proposal moot.

But do not fret, from day one of the Nic implementation, you will be able to exercise your system seniority anywhere in the system. No going from furloughed to first line jumping allowed under the Nic.

Why would you invest in a bankrupt company? I guess no more E190 but lets welcom the CRJ900. What is really going with this management .
US invested nothing, they got the 10% stake in exchange for extending the contract three years.

I don't care how anyone spins this, to me it just means an additional 3 years of large rj's on the property not being flown by mainline pilots, f#$%&! great!

I like how they are going to be recruiting pilots at a job fair in vegas sometime in october and haven't officially announced the intent of recalling all pilots. They are planning on hiring next year but haven't come up with a real plan on recalling everyone. Pretty shitty way to treat your employees who are anxious to return to work if you ask me, all they need to do is just say that they plan on recalling everyone by xyz date. Not sure why everything is super top secret around here.
