You don't suppose some slick NYC lawyer thinks he's a little smarter than those rubes out in cowtown? He keeps trying to prove he is, but unfortunately....

I agree 100% you hit the nail right on the head.!!!!!

Don't forget most DAL pilots leap-frogged the NW guys buy 4-6-years.
No wonder they pontificate that they are the "model" for mergers...HA!!!
Guess so!!!!!!!!

Some folks are wedded to the idea that pilot's are special and need to be unique from all other unions, even to the point that they think all other union practices are just union practices for "those" other type unions, not for pilots. Pilot unions are a breed apart from those regular unions and unaffected by regular, century-old union practices, so they say.

Would that be East pilots who think they can just do whatever they like?

You've been around here long enough to know I've explained this before. Do FA's get significant changes in pay based on which airplane they fly or what position they bid? Do mechanics have their retirement determined by the type of airplane they work on? Do agents bid vacation depending on which counter position they work?

Special, no. Different pay structure, retirement income, working conditions, etc based on something but DOH, yes.

I think they're about to find out that Judge Wake was actually very accommodating.

The funny thing Aqua is that you are entirely correct about that. He bent over backwards to try and understand their point of view and everything else. Instead he cracked down and we had that famous incident in (I believe it was ) December, 2008 where Seham stepped down as lead counsel because he had so aggravated the judge. The comments in the 53-page findings were very abnormal from what usually is stated in such things and now Judge Silver is personally finding out just what aggravated Judge Wake enough to write that.

I wonder if they are planning on submitting a Motion to Recuse on Monday?

Incorrect once again. No one at DL/NW gained or lost more than 3% in seniority.

Two down, sixteen left to tick off. And another word - stricken - to argue about the meaning of. But at least they got a do over so it can be spun as a win.

Jim

Actually two down, six to go as far as normal judges assigned to the Phoenix District Court. There are five more in "senior" status which means mostly retired and without anything close to a full schedule.

Thanks I just counted them from the phone number list on the PHX District Court's website.

In any case, a busy weekend ahead for the attorneys and staff at $$M&P

I'm ecstatic to see my USAPA dues dollars spent on the "COST EFFECTIVE PROFESSIONAL SERVICES" provided by that firm.

Have we (The East) actually surrendered 12 Million dollars for those services? What's the latest accounting?

Too late for that. One document had too many pages - it's all over.

Yes, alas, in a mere matter of days, maybe less, we will see blood running to the height of the horses bridle throughout the city. Alas, alack. Probably had typos too.

Actually it was two documents. First Seeham filed a 60-some page motion. Then the same day the judge said that he could file a 25 page motion, he filed asking permission to file a 30 page motion saying that US had agreed to that. So what does he do - files a 38 page motion.

For those that believe that the Addington trial vanished into thin air when it was dismissed, Seeham sure does mention it a lot in those 38 pages (though admittedly he doesn't seem to cite it but did discuss some parts of it).

Sorry - dupe post. I got the little thingy about "flood control" so posted when the 90 seconds was up only to discover that the first attempt actually posted.

Enough of the Integrity diatribe. Had you done a fair proposal, you might have gotten a contract.

Had we done a Fair Proposal.....hmmmm. Whats fair in your eyes? DOH and DOH. Your Merger commitee was told by ALPA, Nicolau, and the Company that DOH was DOA. You guys are slow learners.

Your idea of integrity is what you want, for you and forget the rest.

Thats rich. Apply your statement to Usapa and you'll see the irony. Integrity Matters. Your group sold out long ago.

Tell me one more time, why would hundreds of east pilots, within reach of a widebody in both seats, take a minimal contract that keeps them out of the higher paying job that is coming very soon with the attrition anyway? If they took your idea of a contract with the Nic. it keeps them out of the seat forever. This is what you can't seem to get.

FUD. I'll tell you. Because they are trying to steal from the west. Hoping to 'get back' what they lost at their 'glorious' nearly defunct airline. All on the Backs for the West pilots.

Unfortunately for Usapa, they are required to represent ALL pilots fairly...or DFR.

West Pilots=we keep floating the idea that you have to have a contract. The truth? We need it more than the east!

The Wheels are falling off Usapa. You are in denial thinking otherwise. Soon, when LOA93 Arbitration Fails. Your group will wake up and put the heat on Napoleon. He's pimping them for the AFO's. If I were in the top 517, close to retirement, I'd be pissed. Maybe your entire downtrodden group has the Battered Wife Syndrome. Grow a pair.

Live up to YOUR agreements.

USAPA = The A330 pilots just bought Seham a new, bigger boat !!! (While they sold their own.)

The lastest what??

Just wondered if any of the USAPA talking heads can give an accurate number on dollars spent at $$M&P law firm thus far.

Unlike many of those posters I don't think it's the best money ever spent.......
