Look around a bit. It's not just happening in Phoenix or Las Vegas.

If it keeps up you might be returning to your frieighter. Or maybe Freightliner Truck.

Still have not shown any proof that PHX is less profitable.

I do not live on the equity in mu house nor do I plan on selling it. Who cares about the real estate market?

Even if I accept that PHX is less profitable you just make the case why no one in PHX would accept C&R locking us in PHX. You guys better decide which way you want to go. Bad hub going to close or good hub stay there and accept the C&R.

We will wait while you call the central ministry of misinformation.

You may want to get your moral compass checked.

I'm only human so my moral compass is subject to the variations that all are, but I think it is pretty steady. I want you to tell me, and quote the post please, where you think my moral compass is off.

That is an incredibly bold, arrogant, and flat out stupid thing to say to someone you do not know.

And Traitor, while you are listing the faults in my moral compass, I want you to tell what you told your USAPA reps to defend C18. How about the uneven distribution of 529 letters west vs? Did you ever talk to Scott T. about the unreasonable editing of west updates?

Kirby addressed this in loose terms in the last crew news session. I believe he said CLT was the most profitable, DCA has the best margin, and that PHL and PHX were at about the same level.

I don't disagree with you on somethings, but I think your anger at your fellow pilots colors your judgment.
Pi brat,

I don't believe traderjake's judgment is colored. He is one east pilot not afraid to speak out against the leadership or those on the fringe that blindly support them. He probably takes alot of flak for doing so. He has a right to be angry and I respect anyone who sticks to their morals when it's not popular among his peers.

There's nothing wrong with my judgment, thou I am angry.
You may want to get your moral compass checked.

traderjake,

Pi brat is definitely one of the more moderate east posters I've had the occasion to debate here. While I agree that many on the east need their moral compass checked, I honestly believe Pi brat's compass is pretty steady. I get the feeling he is trying very hard to figure out what is right rather than who is right. I often disagree with his opinion, but I think he is more annoyed at the rhetoric and attacks, than the principle that the west is standing on.

Just my opinion guys... not that it matters. Carry on.

It is your right to do whatever you want with your single vote.

You also vote down a raise and better working conditions. That is if usapa is even capable of getting to a contract.

But enjoy retirement on LOA93.

Well, I'm young enough to have been included in the PBGC group 4, so my retirement income is not affected by my salary (which, btw, is still right now larger than any west line pilot.) But, the fact is, I do indeed get that retirement money, in addition to Social Security, my 401K, etc.

Do you get any PBGC money? Oh, that's right. You have to have had a defined benefits plan in the first place. And AWA, as the millstone around the neck of the pilot profession since AWA's inception, never had a defined benefits plan.

Enjoy your own retirement under your contract.

The notion that either side is acting contrary to moral precepts is specious. Obviously each side has a strong moral basis for their positions. There are many competing principles, laws, and rights afforded by various authorities. It is complex and in the end the courts will have to sort it out for each of the points for which the pilots will not concede to each other, for as long as the pilots want to keep spending money.

If it was simple, even ALPA could have figured out how to make it certain. All they needed to do was persuade a mere 25% of east pilots to agree that it was reasonable, and they couldn't even do that. Carry on. :D

I think most of the potshots are pretty stupid too. Especially the ones from the "Mean Girls" of the East. Certain posters with alliterative screen names rank highest on the list, in my opinion.

The best thing the West posters could do right now is to take a sabbatical from this forum until the next legal challenge unfolds. Then the regular East pundits would only have to talk among themsleves and find no outlet for their sophomoric banter.
I agree, that is a good post. Stupid is a better word for potshots, while uncalled for, low class, or completely out of line is a better way to describe shots about accidents and incidents that any pilot worth his salt should very well know could have just as easily happened to him. And in the particular case of Sully, that could have just as easily happened to any of us, but for me personally, I could only hope that I could do so well as he and Jeff did.

Back to the garden variety potshots, I've partaken plenty myself, and rarely do I feel good about it afterword. Sometimes it's good sophmoric fun, but most times it's gee I'm sure my long deceased father would be real proud to read that.

The premise being families thrown onto the street probably don't have the money anymore to jet off on vacation on an America West airplane so I suggest you should care.

Also making the case the majority would never vote yes to a contract allowing you to bid PHL, CLT or DCA with the Nic if PHX should implode.

You missed my retirement date by a couple of years.

Did you ever fly with Al O? Or just hear the stories.....

How much longer until you retire?

However it is the WEST that abides by its agreements. The EAST has FAILED at every turn to live up to their word, thus lacking integrity. Meanwhile, they try different schemes to create a windfall for themselves.

Greed. Dishonor. Usapa.
