Well, let me save some time then:

As a member of the 517, I vote "NO" on any contract proposal that includes the Nicolau shame.
It is your right to do whatever you want with your single vote.

You also vote down a raise and better working conditions. That is if usapa is even capable of getting to a contract.

But enjoy retirement on LOA93.

FUD will get you nowhere with this group...been living with it for so long now, we are all numb.
But it is entertaining to see westies use this tactic - it shows desperation.
Have a great day.

FUD, really?

It is your right to do whatever you want with your single vote.
Everyone has a single vote right. Is this FUD?

You also vote down a raise and better working conditions.

If you vote down a contract it should have better wages and working conditions right. Is this FUD?

That is if usapa is even capable of getting to a contract.

It has been 29 months since usapa became the bargaining agent. Do we have a contract? How many sections has usapa closed? Answer 8. So is usapa capable of getting a contract? Is this FUD?

But enjoy retirement on LOA93.

Without a new contract he will retire under LOA 93. Is that FUD?

Now who sounds desperate? So what exactly do you think was FUD?

When the Germans bombed Pearl Harbor did the historians chalk it up to lucky blind weasels?

Are you implying that the West pilots have been on super secrect probation?

Well I am not going to sit here and allow usapa to bad mouth The United States of America !

Indeed. I'm a west guy who cringes when he reads such posts, they are just as you said, absurd. Potshots back and forth about east and west strategy and so forth are one thing, but this kind of stuff is just stupid.

I think most of the potshots are pretty stupid too. Especially the ones from the "Mean Girls" of the East. Certain posters with alliterative screen names rank highest on the list, in my opinion.

The best thing the West posters could do right now is to take a sabbatical from this forum until the next legal challenge unfolds. Then the regular East pundits would only have to talk among themsleves and find no outlet for their sophomoric banter.

I thought you were pre-med?

Pre-med, pre-law what's the difference?

That is if usapa is even capable of getting to a contract.

The answere to that question is..they are not.

Not my opinion, I was told this straight from Scott Kirby. At least that is how I understood it when he said "the sad part is I do not think you guys will ever get a contract, judging from the few sessions I have sat in on.... "

The question is going to be how does the West prosecute usapa for intentional delay to force seperate ops. Frankly, I do not have a huge problem with it, because it falls in line with the TA and what seperate ratification would have given the east pilots under ALPA and the TA. However, I think the company is having problems trying to be fluid in a changing competetive enviroment while working under contracts that are becoming more and more out of date. That is, the company has to work with 2 contracts that were negotiated under vastly different circumstances from where they find themselves today. More and more frequently in the course of managing the company, they have to decide which contract they are going to have to break, the east pilot's, the West pilot's, or the TA. For instance, how do they recall pilots. They have an arbitrated decision that allowed the out of seniority furloughs to take place, but did not answere a recall question. On top of that they allowed the east furloughs that recalled West then furloughed to transfer east, but now will not allow more senior furloughs to be recalled east? I smell grievence for sure, more arbitration, more legal cost, more pissed off pilots either way.

So what we have is usapa ( who is incapable of reaching a joint contract), the company ( who is ever more frequently desiring a new contract) and the West pilots ( who have no representation and find that it is their contracts that gets broken most frequently)

hmmm...what to do?
