US Pilots Labor Discussion 4/6- STAY ON TOPIC AND OBSERVE THE RULES

So before you guys get your panties in a wad over thinking that if this merger happens UAL is going to come running to you with DOH. Better think again. For those of you that believe UAL or ALPA has changed the merger policy to DOH/LOS really need to do some research.

Don’t forget some other numbers. UAL has 113 WB and 249 NB. USA has 26 WB and 321 NB. Best I can see is the WB go to UAL we become domestic pilots.

Possible integration. Fence the WB off for UAL. Start at the top 8 UAL 3 east 1.5 west and so on to the bottom.

You were a domestic pilot, you are a domestic pilot and will always be a domestic pilot. "We become domestic pilots". That is an upgrade frankly for you, since your status was a regional pilot coming from America West. Your PHX charts wearing out quickly should provide a clue to your status,

"8 UAL, 3 East 1.5 west and so on to the bottom." I think the bottom would be a better start and the west pilots would be the first names, lets at least try to make this realistic.

Under the topic of imaginary phone calls that I would pay money to hear in person....

Ding-a-ling-a-ling…

Mr Tilton’s office, may I help you?

Hi, this is Lee Seham. I represent all the pilots at US Airways. May I speak with Mr Tilton please?

Hold please Mr. Seham.

Hi, you have reached Glen Tilton. I am sorry but I am away from my desk at the moment. Please leave a message and I will get back to you.

Glen, this is Lee Seham. I represent all the pilots at US Airways. My phone number is 914- xxx-xxxx. I would like to discuss with you the integration of the merger lists if the proposed merger takes place. I probably got off on the wrong foot with Doug Parker and I am hopeful that with a professional such as you involved in this merger that some accommodation can be arranged so that the pilots of former US Airways are successfully integrated into the pilot’s seniority list in a fair and equitable manner to them. Please get back to me at your earliest convenience so that we can discuss this.

Two hours later….

Ding-a-ling-a-ling…

Mr Seham, this is Mr. Tilton’s office. He received your message and asked me to contact you with his suggestion that you contact Neil Wake at 602-xxx-xxxx. Mr. Tilton felt that it might be more appropriate for you to contact him since Mr. Tilton probably would not be in a position to assist you and, as you said in your message, you are not on great terms with Mr. Tilton’s new friend, Doug Parker.

Thank you for calling. Goodbye.

Thank you for calling. Goodbye.

Now everyone has the America West number, bad move. Expect nuisance calls now.

You always allude the readers into thinking you are some kind of law professional or expert on these issues. Your post above does not, in any way, improve the reputation or assist those that have worked hard for such respect, deserved from said profession. Sad really.

Riding coat tails is addictive, America West attribute.

Good night all.

No, I really don't. I encourage people to think for themselves as long as they have an idea of the issues. If you notice I don't say anything about things such as LOA 93, LOA 84 or the CoC language because I have no idea what the language is or how it has been interpreted in grievances.

I do know quite a bit about civil procedure and appellate procedure, as well as legal theories regarding the public policies concerning binding arbitration and other similar matters. I also know that Seham's opinions concerning the underlying issues in the lawsuit are not in line with the majority of opinions of employment law treatises.

Frankly I doubt that my satirical post has any bearing whatsoever on how or what people think of me. I know that I think absolutely nothing of Lee Seham and I believe it to be unfortunate for most pilots that he ever came on the scene.

I thought it was funny. Because if this merger goes through...Doug is gonna be a major player in the new company, and I love it when people underestimate Doug. LOL

I don't know about ya'll but I wouldn't be counting my chickens before they hatch. Parker has been beating the merger drum for so long, I'm not so sure if this one makes any sense.

Mercy.....United had a billion plus loss just for the last quarter. I'm not so sure I'd want to tie my tail to that.

Yet, then again again, they may not want to tie their tail to US for the simple reason we have become the poster child of cheap. Within 6 months their fleet will be dirty and have MEL stickers all over the place.

Here it comes, more legal problems for you guys. Another problem for Doug. CHANGE OF CONTROL. Just like the Desert Judge, he was losing sleep over it! This is getting very interesting for the East. I smell massive upside.

Swan,

I have a scenario for you. Merger with UAL, COC, East gets snapback. Joint contract negotiated, lesser rate for East, higher rate for UAL and former AWA pilots, majority prevails. Kind of like parity + 1%, not lasting very long.

Just food for thought

Have you seen the rates that we snap back to? You will never get them unless you catch Tilton and Parker in bed together with your camera. If this thing goes, you are going to see massive layoffs.

Yes, just like they gave the Titanic to Capt. Smith, your Doug will have his turn at the helm of a larger ship he can drive on the rocks. So far he has done a stellar job. Bottom tier rankings every year he has been at the top. He just got another ticket too. FAILURE TO MERGE. If he gets it, it will be in BK within 3 yrs.

I have not seen such jubilation from the west since April 2007, when the ill fated Nicalou Award was attempted.
This was coming a long time ago. It was all Bular talked about on his trip to get the 330. Tempe has been obsessed with cashing out for yrs. I called Cleary. Told him there is NO WAY this pilot group should support this, after the way he failed to pay the EAST. Time to take out another FULL PAGE USA Today page listing the reasons Parker should not be allowed to do this. East pilots, call Cleary, and tell him to get the checkbook out for another ad. Parker did nothing for any of us, he can expect no help now.

Doug is the reason you have a job. Keep underestimating him, its great theater.

Parker never called Cleary to even talk. This is exactly why DAL/NWA worked, and this one will not get East help. NWA DAL worked with the pilots. Parker, no. That is why he will most likely get the big page ad and the letters to Congress. Nobody in any East group will help this guy after what he has done.

You actually think the public will give a damn about why Parker should not be able to broker this rumor of a merger? The pilots of this company are just employees like the rest of us. If Parker wants the merger your group will not stop him. Go Ahead and waist more money looking foolish.
