US Pilots Labor Discussion 2/17- STAY ON TOPIC AND OBSERVE THE RULES

You have just described the DFR claim against Usapa by the West pilots. Nicely done.

I agree with you in that in your mind you were harmed by a new union. The majority of USAPA members think there will be harm with Nicolau, hence using every legal means to prevent it. I don't have any problem with them using our dues to take it all the way to the end, even if we all pay your lawyers.

Does a union have to negotiate to harm (perceived) its majority? Does the Arbitration stay? Eventually, in due time, it will all be answered. Then we get to vote on the below industry-standard scraps.

By our measure, America West is worst overall http://www.forbes.com/forbes/2001/0611/105.html And it continues to spread it's pestilence to us now.

john john,

You're the second poster in two days to bring up a stale news link from 9 years ago. How could this have happened by coincidence? The probability is so small it’s laughable to think that this is result of anything other than USAPA put out marching orders to its most zealous followers to post the link. They must be getting very nervous that the anti-USAPA posters are hitting a little too close to the truth and they don’t want to lose any more support from the east pilots who are growing increasingly tired of their union’s antics. I think even USAPA’s leadership can see that we are approaching the beginning of the end of their failed attempt to run a union and avoid the NIC seniority list.

When real actions fail to achieve results it must be time to start gearing up the propaganda machine.

Ive thought of this all along. But it doesn't matter because Nic is not the list and wont be. Bradfrod is a smart guy but he got things a little mixed up is all. But here we are two years later and no Nic so he must have done something right. Alot of the senior guys support us to so it is a teem effort on all out east to keep this delay going. I am really happy about that.

Let me see if I have this right? In summary; the vaunted AWA, that was always such a great airline according to west posters, (but clearly no one else)...basically, shall we gently say "had it's issues"?, (big deal, so did US), and the extension of your "logic" here would seem to be the assumption that the union just bought a time machine and went back and wrote those absurd "falsehoods". To even imagine that ANY unfavorable data referencing AWA can be easilly had by anyone at their whim with a moment's google is entirely unthinkable. Truly...it all must be yet another vile, east conspiracy...because all now are running scared of the latest, decisive stroke from the west...ummm..which has been what exactly?...I must have missed the memo...

"...it must be time to start gearing up the propaganda machine." = Obviously so...but that would charitably assume that "the propoganda machine" ever ceased/ceases rolling out there.

I wonder = Would you prefer other "stale news" from ANY particular period of AWA's history that might actually color it in a truly positive light? When might that have been?

No matter. On any even half-serious level; what most puzzles me here is why you would imagine anyone much really cares about AWA's history out east? Exactly how would that supposedly influence east thought, or be any semblance of viable "propoganda" towards presumably influencing anyone in the east? Opinons, both east and west, seem quite well established, and have been for a goodly long while....like years now. "Your airline sucked!!"...NO!...YOUR airline sucked!!" doesn't seem much germane to me regarding any considerations of the nic. Sigh..I must be missing something here.

I mean no serious offence, but must observe that your post is about as far up on the delusional index as can be registered.

Gasp!!!...Nevermind!...It's time to take out my secret decoder ring and receive the latest message from the Department of Anti-West Conspiracies!!

It's time for the Nicolau to be implemented and see that there will be no instantaneous flood of pilots from the west to the east.

Ummm...not that there's little faith put in what's uttered out west but; It's perhaps noteworthy that by NOT implementing the Nicolau....that situation ("there will be no instantaneous flood of pilots from the west to the east") can be guaranteed......No?

I truly appreciate your honesty here and I understand that delaying the NIC is a victory for your side. Of course you could have just voted no on any TA that ALPA or USAPA negotiated and accomplished the same result (assuming the majority remains committed to the cause). I have no complaint with voting anyway you choose on a new CBA.

My issue is with the illegal and despicable acts of a union that was formed for the sole purpose of violating a contractual agreement between to parties. If USAPA would quit deceiving its members about getting a DOH system, drop the legal battles, and negotiate in good faith for a CBA with NIC I would have no problem with them - no matter how many TAs get voted down. They asked to be the bargaining agent to represent all pilots at US Airways and they have a federally-mandated responsibility to act impartially and fairly to each pilot - a duty which they brazenly and unashamedly thumb their noses at.
