5000 unless usapa has taken the west vote. I know you guys still think that you are separate but it was the east pilots that forced these two groups together.

I have no idea how many west pilots are not members in good standing. I suspect that there are still quite a few paying only germane expenses and therefore cannot vote on a new contract. I figured 3000+ was a safe bet; 5000 is probably very optimistic.

I was going on what USAPA claims, 5000 pilots.

Here is a little surprise for you. The reps have announced that we have over 1000 members in PHX now. The west is growing and we are coming to get our fair share.

The Kirby gave the east way to much of the pie. The nac is going to have to increase the amount the west gets.

Once the NAC has closed all sections with what they feel is acceptable, they present it to the BPR which can then reject it and send the NAC back to the table, or send it to the membership for a vote with an endorsement for ratification, a recommendation to reject it or without comment.

What's the NAC? I thought we were promised professional negotiators? And the BPR should think very carefully before recommending a rejection of the TA and consider the risk of contempt charges.

Again, USAPA would rather delay a vote and raise expectations unrealistically high, than provide what little they can, given their lack of support from the pilots. Because USAPA chose to pursue a fratricidal agenda, they have all but eliminated the prospect of self-help, thus relegating themselves to negotiating charity from the company.

How long will the pilots of USAirways continue to finance a bloated, out-of-touch and disfunctional excuse for a union? what little USAPA has provided could have been done for pennies instead of the millions they have confiscated from the pilots with little or no accountability.

When asked what is their budget, do they smile and whisper, "All of it!"?

Thanks for the clarification. Now here is mine... I didn't say the pilots weren't worth as much as the other majors. I didn't even say that an industry mid-point pay scale is beyond the realm of possibility with US management. I specifically said that it was a fantasy that USAPA would be able to achieve substantially higher pay rates than the Kirby proposal. US management doesn’t take anything USAPA says or does seriously because they know it is a weak, fractured, un-unified, dishonest, sadistic, masochistic, pernicious, barbarous . . . (insert other similar adjectives here) contract breaking, sorry excuse for a labor union that will never negotiate in good faith and could never amass enough support from its constituents to have any kind of effect on their running of the airline. Until USAPA changes course, shows union solidarity is possible, and accepts the NIC as its good-faith bargaining position management will do no more than they must to negotiate a CBA. They know everything USAPA has done up to this point is pure smoke and mirrors in an attempt to delay, delay, delay, delay the NIC at all costs. It not like USAPA’s intentions are a secret or anything.

Is the Nicolau award valid after three years?

Was the Kirby proposal taken on bended knee?

Was ALPA not tossed out after many years?

Courage.

You can't have your cake and eat it too. You should be demanding that the pilots be allowed to vote and prove your resolve. Over and over again if necessary.

How can you brag about the vote you refuse to cast just so that you can retain control over the status quo? That is what will give Judge Wake the most heartburn. You can't deny the pilots the ability to cast their vote just because of the consequences of not having the majority you think you do.

Vote on what, the Kirby proposal that adopts the former America West pilots taking pay in exchange for unlimited amount of regional jets and furloughs in the future. You sold your soul out many times at America West, this is a new union, get used to it.

.
When describing in general an east pilot, included in definition of a "good goy" should be someone with enough honor and integrity to keep their word, even if may harm them.

By not accepting the arbitrated result, you are breaking your word.

.....you are selfish and sadistic. I would not describe someone with no honor, integrity and sadistic as being a "good guy".
.....with no conscience, breaking promises,....
.
Any idea why the east pilot group is the most hated in the industry?

The first question I am asked when jumpseating is are you east or west? When I reply west I am greeted with smiles and handshakes and told what this flight crew thinks of the east.

Enjoy your ill-gotten gains and the reputation you most clearly have earned.

1) Been There/Done That....Have you?

2) Now it's back to the fantasy that every single east pilot made a solumn vow to suicidally uphold whatever the latest BS to come out of alpa was....Good luck selling that excrement. Explain to me again..or at ALL (I'm evidently quite dense where this is concerned) just when/where and how I EVER "Gave my Word" to alpa or to your "interesting" bunch?

3) Yes, it's clear now...all out east are "selfish and sadistic" and no "honor, integrity"/etc...(oops, almost overlooked the additional "sadistic"). Thank the Allmighty that, after only...well over a half century of life, the west has come forward to examine my manifest failings and those of my coworkers with such a fresh and incisive perspective.

4) Hmmm..the first question I was asked when requesting a ride from you folks was also whether I was east or west..and was then denied the jumpseat as the "captain" slithered off into the cockpit with a smirk. I guess we must be "the most hated in the industry", although I've never been received by any other airline's people with other than excellent hospitality...which, now that our truly vile nature's so universally aparent to all..well... seems somewhat strange....?

5) Well..."Enjoy your ill-gotten gains" is at least a bit more civil than "You can live on LOA93 forvever!!" Perhaps some diplomatic progress is finally apparent., and peace between the factions should be at hand anytime.....????

Mgt got a big belly laugh out of the USA Today ad. Just proved how USAPA is a bunch of amateurs with a checkbook

NIC is not only valid but is the only list the company will accept. It will cost USAPA big time before this is over

USAPA isn't smart enough to know a good offer from a bad one so of course they would not accept or even counter it. USAPA doesn't want a contract - they want a LOA93 forever

Great move - replace a professional union with...(see above)

Yep. Seriously, you have all learned to say Cactus. A direct result of that ad. $100,000 to say Cactus congrats.

Is the Nicolau award valid after three years?
It sure is. When the ninth rules we will see just how valid.

Was the Kirby proposal taken on bended knee?
I don't know has the nac gotten anything above what was offered two years later?

Was ALPA not tossed out after many years?

Still leaning on that two years later. Yes ALPA is gone what has usapa done since then? You sound like the guy in high school that says remember the four touchdown he scored? What have they done for me lately?

Hey clear, are you catching on to the ultimate irony here....your last sentence is a good start. If you don't get my meaning you ain't been paying attention.

The PHX reps have announced a lot of stuff. We know all about the campaign. Concerning your fair share? Neither fair, nor share.
