The windfalls you have enjoyed the past few years will come to an end. The West is unified in defending our rights, no matter the cost or time invested. Your side tested our resolve and we met the challenge.
The west is one tough pilot group with resolve. They have forced Parker to pay they them the lowest pay and benefits for years, even todays rates are just little above the easts bankruptcy rates.
 
ALPA is gone. USAPA is the bargaining agent. Seniority is a negotiated agreement. What was done under ALPA is null and void. Nic is null and void. You need a joint contract to get Nic. You don't have one. Therefore, no Nic. It is really that simple. Just as you all allude to the past of U pilots, Nic is the past also. Does this put it in perspective? I agree with you the old days are gone. ALPA gone, the Nic lives in an ALPA contract. Gone..............

Think about what your saying. According to your logic the Company can adopt your same attitude with your snapback. "snapback" was done under Alpa, so it must be null and void.

So if your snapback is not "null and void"

Nicolau is very much alive and well without Alpa. The Company is only restricted by the TA against its USE, but it is very much the Company accepted legally generated list. It really is that simple. If you have real proof otherwise please share it with us.

West pilots must live in the moral basement. I take from all the west posters they want the east pilots to do illegal job actions and then get fired. Well, customers understand who is in the right and it is not the west.
We will get our snapbacks just like the LOA states- we may have to fight for it but we have to ensure that the company holds their side of the bargain! It is our legal right.

The perfect example of the east 180 degree out of reality view of the world. What a sense of inflated self worth. You think the west lives in a moral basement yet disregard agreed to deals, sue fellow pilots with outrageous law suit, waste huge amounts of pilots money running a union that enriches just a few and call us names like rookies.

Why would the customers know anything about this? Do you really think that most passengers are so interested in our little dispute to keep up with all of this? Could it be that the east pilots are whining to them looking for support? Do you remember to tell them the whole story? The parts about binding arbitration and the DFR suit that USAPA lost?

You will not get your snap backs there is no more to say about that.

Why would you say this unless you already know? Why would we have to come off of Nicolau if USAPA is going to win in the ninth? You just admitted that the Nicolau is the seniority list and the only way it is going to change is if we decide to change it.

Well that is not going to happen for a number of reasons.

But let me say this. We already met you half way during N/M/A. That was the time to compromise not now. Not after the award, not after the delay, not after all the expense, not after the legal fight and not after all the name calling. Half way would have been us starting with a staple of the east and you at DOH and ending up at the current list. We did not. So now you want us to comprise and met you more than half way during N/M/A get an award and THEN met you another half so you guys can feel better. You want us to give up 90% of our position and you consider that a fair compromise.

NO! As you admitted the Nicolau list is the list. It is locked in stone by federal injunction. We are done with seniority, it is the Nicolau. We have wasted two years and there is only one group to blame for the delay and lost benefits for the pilots group. THE EAST PILOTS and the leadership that you chose. If anything our patience with the east is done and going forward any more delay and it is the east that will be paying the west.

Suppose you got an audience with Parker to discuss your much ballyhooed snapbacks and he said, "Why don't you meet me halfway? And here's where I think halfway is." Would Cleary come out and say, "Yes we think that in the interest of labor relations we will accept the company's 1/2 of 1% increase in pay in lieu of what we feel we are contractually entitled to."?

Then why do you think that any negotiation after arbitration is warranted? What expectation do you have of the company do you don't feel USAPA should have?
 
I can understand why you need to oversimplify things.

Understand that, just as our CBA's, your $70M payout, etc. continue to live, so does the Nic. No matter how much you'd like to wish otherwise, it will always be here.

The Nic lives on Parker's desk, waiting to be put to good use.

Wye River was another bump in the road. Freund was telling you guys what you didn't want to hear and you told him to leave.

One thing I will give you westies, is that you don't listen to what some pretty smart people are telling you.

By the way, the mail just showed up in Camden, NJ and my direct deposit will be on 01/04/2010. Lump Sum Award it says on the stub............is that anything like that Nicolau award? Oh that's right we have to have a combined CBA for you to get it. Good luck!

Massive cancellations in CLT the company has pre-cancelled alot of flights and does not put them on the monitors in order not to look bad. Maintenance write ups are through the roof many planes grounded. Remember safety is always first.

The wonderful part of technology is it's precise way to track everything and everybody. It has never been easier to make yourself a target with a trail to yourself you've never seen. Remember, you now work for an airline that is data driven, not intimidation driven. They don't play games when it comes time to confiscate an ID.

It'd be a shame if those snapbacks were traded for a handful of blockhead's jobs.

Well not sure why you are so arrogant to believe that the East pilots will not receive the 18% return of pay that they were promised. I am supportive of them receiving what they are due. No different than when we were in bankruptcy and management going to court to get the millions in bonus's that they had been promised. Management was awarded their bonus's while the rest of the East Coast Employee groups lost their pensions.

Great post Hate! Love it! Our lawyer tried to tell this to their lawyer but they didn't listen! Now look what that got them. Oh my gosh, they have such a super problem on their hands.

Where to begin.

Referencing Wilder's blog is the same as getting stock tips from a blogger on Motley Fool. I wouldn't pay a squirt of piss for what he had to say on his blog. Mere pandering for a little bit of that dues money that Cleary has no problem spending.

And as for Freund, you can keep taking what he said out of context. It doesn't matter. The law is on our side and the Appellate Court will only serve to push those fence-sitters on the east toward a new contract which includes Nic.

Congrats too on your lump sum check. Getting a portion of your own money back must make you feel great. With what you saved Parker being on LOA 93, that $70M is a small drop in the bucket. And looking at the timer on the USAPA website, it looks like you're continuing to save him even more money.
