Us Airways Pilots Call For Removal Of Siegel, cohen

According to the money section of USA Today, it does say a little about the 60 more aircraft to be added to the fleet as well as something about increasing the domestic service. may be someone can elaborate more on this subject.
That's a plus....but remember , "Everything is on the table"

Say for just a moment that "something is on the table"??? Which all our labor groups are saying it isn't. You have to wonder whats at hand here?

60 added planes would be great...but somewhere along the line I would have to imagine that staffing levels would not increase greatly if at all? in certain classifcations thus improving the ratio of Employee's per Acft.

I also have to question the sudden need to make noises about increasing the fleet , when this same management team has brow-beaten us with the mantra of over capacity within the industry. What has changed all of the sudden?

On a positive note..it does look like U and Allegheny County are talking again in relation to agreements on "Short-term leasing agreements" Is this just buying time to execute yet another option?...and I'm not sugesting Chip's UCT/ICT theory in saying that.

Usfliboi is completely right about somehow working towards equitable solutions with Dave. The Board of Directors has already expressed their complete support for him, so no new leadership is on the horizon. The clock's ticking away fast to boot...
Blue Oceans:

I'm not sure, but it may have been mentioned already. 4 seats on the BOD are held by ALPA, IAM, CWA, and AFA and I'm not sure they have the same support for the current regime as does the Bronner Party. This will be interesting indeed. I fully expect the other 3 unions to come out in support of ALPA in the next 2 weeks, and if they do, the battle will be on to unseat our vertically challenged leader.

I want whatever .............. Dr. Bonner is smoking.

Whether it's real or percieved...David must go. You know it...Dr. Bonner
He has lost his employees and you know it's time to correct this error.

I wonder how long before you make the needed changes....

Piney- you are right. It's too late to start again. We're in midstream and can't make it to shore. We must let plan C play out. We don't have enough time or money to start over with new management and a new plan. I think Dave is very intelligent although lacking in people skills. I say lets see what the next plan is before panicking.
As usual ALPA doesn't represent ALL of the pilots...

I'm bracing myself...

Trash me.

I just have a question for all of those who call for Siegel's ouster.

Who do you replace him with?

Look around, there is not a lot of talent and leadership out there and US doesn't have the dollars to bring in a real heavyweight who would easily command DOUBLE what Dave gets now.

Has he done a perfect job? MO! have you i your job? Have I in my job?

I have another question for those asking this strange question. If his performance can't be beat, then should we close the doors now and turn out the lights?

If you're asking such a question that means you feel out of an entire nation, which contains some of the best brains in the world, Siegel can't be replaced, that there is not another soul in this great nation who could do a better job. All the new guy would have to do is receive two billion dollars in concessions then break even, not even show a profit to beat this clown, and yet this question is asked! Unbelievable is the only term that comes to mind. But then again, people still believe Saddam should stay too. Dave is not murdering people, just our company.

Cav,
Maybe I'm just worn out with from 15 years of this BS.
USAir was a loser before buying Piedmont and PSA. They took a great and proud company and turned it into a loser too. I don't apologize to our old USAir collegues because although I have heard what a good company it was, I have never seen it. It has been one bad decision and one bad management after the other.
My father and my mother- in- law both died of cancer. Working here is like watching them all over again, sometimes you just want it to end and move on.
I have too much time invested here and am too old to go to WN, JB or elsewhere and too young to retire (lost my pension anyway). So excuse me if I try to make this place work one last time. If you don't want to help then get the hell out of the way or else grab an oar and row- this time we'll all row in the same direction.

Oh yea of no balls or IMH common sense believing this team will heal your woes.

You act like I am the only wanting Dave gone. I think maybe you need a drug test.

And you need to kiss my a**.

As for me I am looking at it from an operations view... How is our operations??? In my opinion it is worse than it has ever been... How is the employee morale??? In my opinion it is far worse than it has ever been... Dave must go along with Neil, Jerry, and Ben to start...

So what talent is out there that the same people who have blamed every single ceo we have had since the merger for this airlines problems, that will pass "the test" and not cut further>? Any CEO will come and continue the cuts Plain and simple
