Face it BK took away any thunder we thought we had.

No drinking while posting! You've been very helpful, now go sit in the truck don.
I gotta chime in to the afternoon entertainment here.
BK HAS taken away any thunder we had but that has been from day 1. Between the BK laws and the RLA organized labor has zero leverage. Never did.

The choice now is do we want A. a 6 year contract or B. a chance to get something better through the leverage of self help.
This really comes down to what each of us can live with and whether we want to try and "save the profession"
More than likely those facing layoffs will vote NO
Those facing downgrade to OSM will probably vote NO
If an early out is offered those might vote YES

I can't see a way in Hell this will pass, especially since the T/A didn't pass.

Saving the profession doesn't seem to be working out too well for you fella's. If the company were to now offer up the failed TA from 2010 you fella's would stumble over yourselves to vote YES, even Chuck and Bob would be all over it like a duck on a junebug....

6 year contract is no way correct. It will be at least a 9 year contract with the stalling again. People have to decide if they can live with this for another 9 years. Can you actually live on OSM wages 9 years from now, what will gas prices be then? Can the line mechanics keep on working 30 hours overtime a week for the rest of their lives just to make a decent living? Actually a paycut for everybody with the increased medical cost. One day, I hope we can actually stick together.

2010 T/A ? I bet the 1995 contract would pass again today..........

The company would never go for the 1995 contract now because if they were to eliminate the retiree prefunding they would have to cough up their portion of the contribution back to us....

Hey Speedy go ahead and vote yes on the next stink pickle and you can be part of the 25%.

Me thinks the company is gonna show you the other end of the "restore and more" stink pickle you demanded, they re-named it to "impose and more" and plan to use it....
That's fine, you can think what you want but it won't pass, are the pilot's an Flight attendents close to a ta that they can bring back to their membership?

high speed give it up already! its all chuck and bobs fault.....blah blah blah

once and for all, you never would have seen that 2010 TA even if passed in bankruptcy. How about focusing on the real issues of concessionary contracts year after year and how do we stop the race to the bottom. Give us all your wisdom on fixing it. Anyone can be a critic after the fact.

What? Umm, they would've gone bankrupt anyway, but at least we'd have 20K+ more in our pockets. (I know! This dead horse has been beaten enough.)

Apparently some are still in denial about that truth.

So the Horse has not been beat enough.

At the time the claim was that we were going to get retro pay, geo pay, and a there was money left on the table.

I am still waiting for the better agreement than the T/A was.
I am also still waiting for the 11th hour of the 29th day.

The difference is if you accept it you are stuck with it till 2018, or later (2022?). If our contract is ripped up you still have a Union and negotiations will continue till either an agreement is reached or we are released to self help, then strike, PEB or Congress.

Yes..But aren't there are other reasons for voting NO?..

Like the retiree medical refund full share?
Contract extension option if contracted voted in?
Union dues "optional" if contract abrogated??????????????????

Haven't you heard????????? Parker and LCC are going to give that to all of us when they take AA over!

how do you figure? do you believe they would have started paying us without all the agreements in place? History has proven that all 7 contracts must be settled before they sign off on it. You are speculating at best and my theory seems more pliable.
