TWU negotiations.........what?

I think that was stated already but here we go. The TA was going to have us at number 2 in airline AMT pay now we will be what? Number 8? Or better yet last and with 40% of our work outsourced. Of course you can say AA was going to do BK anyway and maybe that's true but now we will never know except that the MCTs are not giving back off of their rate in their ratified TA.

Die on your feet? Looks like we are headed there so you will get that unfortunately. Living on your knees getting paid $37 and hour would have been awful.

Fail to mention you had to pay for the #2 in pay with your retiree medical and match. Something you love, more concessions.

If the TA would of passed, do you think you would remain there?

You don't have the brains or the balls to fill a pimple on your ass.

I agree, the guy is an international twu stooge, claiming to be a line mech at DFW D term.

How does a comment laced with personal attacks such as these contribute to a solution?

Can you not explain your position or express your opinions without the playground laced attacks?

I think if we could learn to debate the issues and express opinions in a professional and adult manner, we may actually begin to make advancements against the problems. There is nothing wrong with disagreement, there is nothing wrong with everyone having differing opinions. But what is wrong is responding is this unprofessional manner.

One day my wife and I were in Washington D.C. expressing my views and excercising my freedoms while participating in a protest outside the N.M.B. Offices, I later visited Arlington National Cemetary and stood, and no matter which direction I looked, there were white crosses as far as my eyes could see. My belief is that each of those crosses represents a life lost protecting our rights to disagree and express differing views. In contrast, watching remarks such as yours seems to minimize and disrespect those that have paid the ultimate price for freedom. Please continue to express your opinions and disagreements with others, but if possible, think about how great it is that you have that right and give that right and those that died for it the respect deserved.

Wow, his post disrespects those who have fought and died for our country? Didn't see that, those anti- depressants must be good!

Number 2?? Don't think so....UP, FX, WN were already past that wage rate. Now there afterburners have ignited, they're out of sight in pay. AS, UA & DL were/are there at 37 or better. Yep, puts AA at hind teat-again.
Get used to it, won't get any better in the forseeable future with this mismanagement bunch. In fact, I'll be shocked if AA even survives after all the lies, resentment thats festered over the yrs. Merger IMO, highly...possible.

And I won't be around slick. If I haven't resigned yet, I'm gone first wave. Working hard to get out of here FAST.

UP and FX are cargo and will not be used as a valid comparison. Arbitrators would not allow them to be used in the peer group which is why I said number two in airline pay. And you missed the point, now we will be dead last, the TA included a wage reopener that would allow the TWU Presidents to negotiate on wages to maintain number two. So we would not have to wait until the contract was amendable to discuss pay raises.

...the ability to reopen the contract to remain #2"

Haven't heard that point made on here before(or missed it-very possible).
Noted...however I don't see AA playing that little game.
Not that it matters. Mute point now.

WOW, So our responsibility is less than freighter mechs,
We are represented by IDIOTS !

Bob and "hell no, vote NO"

Seems his justification for voting NO today is the prefunding. I just took a quick look at what I paid into my prefunding account since the failed TA and its less than $250.00. What is the return on my investment Bob, would I have been better off investing the $250.00 elsewhere or should I stay in for the long haul? What did voting "NO" gain me?
I've paid in over 10,000 company match 10,000 if they want to discontinue retiree medical Pay us !

How do you deduce that figure?
I called JP Morgan to find out what my pre fund balance was.The company matches same amount in another JPM administered fund.
Why do you think they want us to volutarily give it up ,its the only way they can keep the match!

Call JP Morgan, ask for the balance of your Prefundinmg account and double it. Thats hopw much you have, and depending on where you fell, over or under 50, thats how much you would have lost. remember those under 50 would have had to give up their contributions as well for "sick leave credits". You could only use those credits for buying coverage.

who would have been at number 2? Only line guys on nights, if the company chose not bto change start times to avoid MRT would have been number 2. Nobody else.

In the APA PEB the peer group for comparisons was for comparable airlines. Even though we work on the same planes, the companies provide different services and therefore different business models. It has nothing to do with the work.

Bob there is no sense arguing this. We will be at the bottom for years now so its water under the bridge. Just like the full retro, keeping retiree medical in any form, and the pension in any form. We got them just where you wanted them. Hope our attorneys can do a great job doing damage control on the mess the committee created.

The losses from the failed t/a, for which you hold Bob soley responsible, pale in comparison to the 2003 debacle. Why is your wrath not equally directed toward the ones more culpable for the mess we now find ourselves in?

TWU decided to make changes in areas such as pay, holidays, vacation, sick time, and overtime, where the Union presumably, and understandably, assumed it would later be able to negotiate a restoration of these concessions when the airline industry returned to “normalcy.” Now, however, it has become clear that day will never come.
